DESIGN FOR A CULTlVATOR-SHOVEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,034, dated December 14, 1897.
Application filed October 30, 1897. Serial No. 656,9?1. Term of patent 14 years.
To (all whom t may concern.-
Be it known that I, THOMAS II. RANEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Au rora, in the parish of Washington and State of Louisiana, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Cultivator-Shovels; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such ns will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the saine.
My invention has relation toaJ new and original design for a cultivator-shovel; and it consists of a shovel of the configuration shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a plan view of my design. Fig. 2 is au edge View; and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view on line :c Fig. l.
The leading features of my design com prise a body portion l, having parallel edges 2, inclined edges 3, terminating in a point 4, and outwardly and laterally curved horns 5, ter minating in angular points 6. The horns are curved outwardly, as shown in Fig. 2, and the plate is provided with a longitudinal central bulge, as shown in Fig. 3, and the plate at the junction of the parallel sides with theinelined edge is bent outwardly, as shown at 7 in Fig. 2.
