DESIGN FOR A BRACKET.

lic it known that], AUGL'sT S. HELD, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Freeport, in the county of Stephenson and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Brackets, of which the following is a specification.

My in vention relates to a certain new and original design for brackets, which is illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which l igure 1 is a perspective. Fig. 2 is a section in line 2 2, Fig. Fig. 3 is a plan YlUW, and Fig. l is a section in plane 4- l of Fig. '3.

Referring to the figures, it will be seen that the bracket is made up of two connected members A 13, each extending away from the point of union in a substantially straight line and approximately atright angles to the other, and a third member C, extending from the face of one of the members A l), at a point between its ends, to the face of the other at a similar point, said member 0 being curved longitudinally. The member C is of substantially even thickness throughout and troughshaped in transverse section, the trough being upon the side toward the angle formed by the members A ll. The members A B are also of substantially even thickness throughout, and each has at its ends substantially flat portions and between said flat portions an intermediate portion convex in general shape on the side within the angle and narrower than the fiat portions at the ends.

The essential feature of my design I consider the shape of the members A B, comprising the substantially flat portions and the intermediate inwardly-convex narrower por- Lions.
