DESIGN FOR A MINERS LAMP.

SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 23,526, dated July 31, 1894.

Application filed May 15,1894. Serial No. 511,364. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I, CHARLES D. FELIX, of Shamokin, in the county of Northumberland and State ot'Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Lamp, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification, in which the figure represents a perspective view of a lamp embodying my new design.

The leading feature of my design consists in the lamp body, the back edge of which is approximately vertical while its front edge tapers pronouncedly, not in a slight degree but at a considerable angle, to the straight back, such inclination or taper of the front being outward or forward from the top toward the bottom, the top a lying within the area of the bottom I) and the spout departing from the pronenneedly flared 0r tapered front of the body as shown.

A minor feature of the design is the hooklike figure d at the back, the lines of the said figure merging as at (1' into the lines of the body.
