DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR COMBS, BRUSHES, 800.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,704, dated March 18, 1890.
Application filed February 24, 1890- Serial No. 341,627. Term of potent '7 years.

Be it known that I, HENRY BERRY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Shelton, in the State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for (1 Handle for Combs, Brushes, Mirrors, and other Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the necompanying drawing, forming a. part thereof, and which shows a plan View of a comb having a handle embodying the design made the subject hereof.
The leading features of my design consist in the form or outline of the handle and the ornamental scrolls thereon, as shown in the drawing, and more paiticulerly referred to hereinafter.
The lower portion of the handle, lettered A, is convex along its front edge B and concave along its back or rear edge C, and said handle ahontits said convex edge and its lower end is embordered by the foliate scroll D,thele:wes
of which trend inward and substnntialiy inclose, except at one edge, the fluted scroll E, covering the main body of the flower portion of the handle. The upper portion of the hen dle is concave at F along its front edge and convex at G along its back or rear edge, and said edges are embordercd by the foliate scrolls H I, surmounted at their upper ends by an ornamental scroll-cap J and inelosing the spray of leaves and flowers L.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
lhe design fora. handle for combs and other articles, substantially as shown and described.
