DESIGN FOR A BRUSH OR MIRROR BACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,1 12, dated August 26, 1890.
Application filed July 9, 1890- Serial 110.358,?03- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK V. JONES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Zylonite, in the county of Berkshire and State 5 of Massacliusetts,liave invented and produced a new and original Design for Backs for Toilet Articles, of which the following is a specification.
This design has for its object to provide a I0 novel, ornamental, attractive, and variegated back for toilet articles, such as brushes and mirrors; and the leading feature thereof resides in a skeleton frame comprising a central oval or circular shaped band or rib and 15 scrolls connecting such band or rib with the 20 log drawing, in which the figure is a plan view of the brush or mirror back.
In the drawing, the numeral 1 indicates the skeleton frame extended into an ornamental handle 2, and comprising a central ornamented oval or circular shaped band or rib 4 and scrolls 5, terminating at one extremity as leaves 6, and connecting the oval-shaped band or rib 4 with the outer edge or margin 7 of the skeleton frame, the whole being pro vided with a background 3 of a color distinguished from the color of the skeleton frame. The background may be variegated in dark colors and the skeleton frame may be white.
What I claim is The design for a brush or mirror back, substantially as shown and described.
