Be it known that 1', EDWARD '1. Svnoox- VAKER, of the. city, county, and State of New York, have invented a certain new and ornamental Design for Fire-Place Irronts; and the following isdeclared to he a description of the HRIIIHO.

My design is fully shown in the accompanyiug photograph.

in this design the frame, the basket, the crown-piece, and the fender are especially designed to go tngtt-hor in the produrtion of an artistic effect. The tire-place frame has a lain surface. (1. a molding, a, and a molded at b, and plain bases c. The t'rmno hotween the moldings It and b is concave, as at I d. and the surface is in imitation of hnnnm-rrd or stippled work; and the ornament-at raised 'designs consist of the head at 0, having diverging from it upon both sides stem, leaf,

and tlowe'r designs with dragons heads. At the upper corners, and connected therewith down the sides, are designs containing tiow- 3 ms, leaves, grapes. ribbons, and medallionheads, as shown. Atfin the panel (I is a design of a bnrnin' censor, and leaf and scroll designs upon a draped bar.

The design of the basketconsists ofthotop rail, 9, bottom rail, h, and ends i, all having a polished surface. The ends a are ornamented with leaf designs, and there is no open panel between these parts, and a round ornamental rod, 1:, spirally twisted, and wit-h molded ends shown.

The design of the crown-piece consistsof the plain base I, the ornamental top molding; m,

and the imitation oak-loaves at 'n.
