Specification forming part of Design No. 9,729, dated February 6, 1877; application filed January 16, 1877.
[Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JACOB BEESLEY, of the city of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new Design for a (looking-Range, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, making part of this specification.
No. 1, a, is the top back-plate, formed with three panels, the center panel containing the number and name of the range, the right and left hand panels having other panels with ornaments of rosette and spear ends, crossed, connecting one with the other, of Elizabethan style.
- No. 2, b is the oven-door. The extreme edges of said door are formed with double beveled molding, surmounted with a gentle hollow molding. The face of said molding, at each corner and center, is ornamented with double spears, with a single head in the center; then, gently rising, comes the center panel, with an oblong rosette in the center. At each corner of raised panel. are loops, with single bead, connecting with a margin raised above surface of panel, and inclosing the rosette.
No. 3, O is the front, with ornamented base, with beveled flat, and terminating with rounded surface with a succession of double spears, with single bead connecting.
No. 3, T is a stopper for a sliding shelf, be: longing to front ornament, double spear, and single bead.
No. 4, dis the fire-door. The extreme edge of said door is of same style as oven-door. Said molding is surmounted with a sloping panel, with arched openings, intended for mica for illuminating purposes. Said arched openings are surrounded with a margin ornamented with stringed bead, and center of each is surmounted with a loop, similar design as corner of oven-door, N o. 2.
No. 5, G is the blower, with a continuation of the ornamented base, as front, N o. 3, 0, said blower extending out from the front surface of the front proper.
No. 6, f is the fender or shelf, ornamented of a succession of scrolls, with pointed tiebars, connecting all in one pleasing combinatiou, with the outside margin molding.
No. 7, g is the blank end of the range, with ornamented base attached, of same design as front, No. 3, C, and rounded outside corner, with ornamented center panel design of Elizabethan style, same as panel, No. l, a, top back-plate.
No. 8, h is the warming-shelf; is formed of ten-sided sections, pointed at each'side and end, and connecting one with the other the entire length and width.
What I claim as my invention is- The design for a cookingrange, ornamented substantially in the manner above described.
