Specification forming part of Design No. l0,l 33, dated July 31, 1877; application filed June 14, 1877.

[Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, RICHARD A. OULTna and DAVID U. PRocToR, both of Peoria, in the county of Peoria and State of Illinois, have originated and produced aDesign for Heating Stoves, of which the following is a specification The nature of our design is fully set forth in the accompanying engraving. The points of design will be hereinafter specifically claimed.

The top or reservoir portion A has a cap provided with the ornamental band a, said ornamcntations consisting of the zigzag and egg or berry bandlet b, and this hand a divides said cap, leaving above and below it a series of bead-moldings, c 0, while the cap terminates in a plain base-band, d, the whole cap being arranged as shown in the engraving. Below this cap is the plain broad cornice e of the neck of the reservoir, the only ornament be ing the ovolof, immediately above the top fil' let 9 of the neck h, which neck is of gentle incline upward, as shown, and terminates in a sharp curve, 1', upward and outward. The base-fillet j of the neck is surmounted by a scallop ornamentation, k, and the base plateau l is of a design heretofore patented to us. The combustion-chamber B is of a slight incline upward, curving abruptly under the plateau Z, as shown at m. The surface generally of both reservoirneck and combustion-chamber is plain and polished; but the doors of the combustion-chamber are of ornamental design,

with arabesque work it in relief. The head 0 of the plateau, which separates the combostion-chamber from the fire-pot O, is ornamented by truncated pyramidsp at intervals.

The ash-chamber D has top ornaments q and ornamental arabesque panels 1", as shown, while the legs or feet have medallions s in high relief.

We claim- 1. The design for the reservoir portion 01" a heating-stove, consisting of the inclined neck h, with its curve t, and the design of cap a b c o (1 6}, and design of base j k lm, as set forth.

2. The configuration of the neck h, inclining and terminating in the abrupt curve '01, in combination with the configuration of the combustion-ohamberviz., the incline terminating in the abrupt curve m, substantially as set forth.

3. The design of the doors n of the combustion-chamber.

4. The design of the plateau ornamentations o p, as set forth.

5. The ornamentations q r of the ash-chamber, as set forth.

6. The design of the legs 8, as set forth.
