Description

Sept. 22, 1931. A. L. KOTLICKE COIN PURSE Filed May 12, 1930 Patented Sept. 22, 1931 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE AARGN L. KOTLICKE, OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND, ASSIGNOR TO MAX GOLDSTEIN, OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND COIN PURSE Application 'filed May 12,
11; use of stitching on any part of the material.
The vinvention consists of the novel construction and arrangement of'the partsand combination of parts hereinafter more fully set forth in the following specification and 1; pointed out in detail in the appended claim.
In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a plan view of one side of the purse in the closed position.
Figure 2 is a plan View of the opposite as side from that shown in Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a plan View of the two pieces placed one upon the other ready to be folded.
Figure 4 is a detail plan View of one of the pieces of which the purse is formed.
Figure 5 is a plan View of the opposite side to that shown in Figure 4. Referring to the accompanying drawings, forming parts of this specification, and in a which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the several views thereof, 1 designates the pieces of leather, or other suitable material of which the purse is formed, and both of which are identical in every respect. The pieces 1 are rounded at each end to form the flaps 2. The said flaps 2 are each provided with a socket member 3 of a snap fastener whichare adapted to snap over the stud members 4 on the other piece 1 when the saidpieces l are secured together and the flaps folded down, as shown in Figures 1 and 2 of the drawings. In assembling the parts the pieces 1 are placed one upon the other and at right angles of each other and the flaps 2 folded over and secured by the fasteners.
It will thus be seen from the foregoing that the piecesl forming the purse are held together simply by the snap fasteners and that no stitches whatever are employed.
1930. Serial No. 451,542.
As there are four flaps, two on each side of A the purse, it will be seen that there are four openings to the purse.
Having thus described my invention what I claim is r I A coin purse formed of two separate pieces of material of the same shape placed one upon the other and at right angles to each other, each of said pieces being provided with a flap on each end thereof, the said flaps being each provided with a socket member of a fastener and the body portion of each of said pieces being provided with two stud members of a fastener near the center thereof, the socket members of each of the flapsbeing adapted to fit over a stud member on the body portion of the other piece.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
AARON L. KOTLICKE.
