Definitions
- Preferred examples of the cholesterol esterase to be used in the method of the present invention include cholesterol esterase having a molecular weight of not more than 50 kDa. Even in cases where a cholesterol esterase has a molecular weight of not less than 50 kDa, the cholesterol esterase is preferred if the cholesterol esterase has a subunit with a molecular weight of not more than 50 kDa.
- the origin of the cholesterol esterase is not limited, and may be derived from any animal or microorganism. A cholesterol esterase derived from Pseudomonas sp. may be especially preferably used.
