如以下鈾案所述:歐洲專利申請案,案號02076069 2,申 請日 2002/3/18,及案號02079306.3,申請日 2〇〇2/1〇/17(=pHNL 02.1038),可引用一偏光鏡或反射偏光器而獲得面鏡功能, 其中該面鏡(面板)只反射第一類偏光(方向)的光線(實質上 為50%的反射率,圖2中以箭頭14標示之),但顯示器$所產 生之第二類偏光(方向)的光線會穿透(100%的穿透或發 射,圖2中以箭頭15標示之)。 包括顯示器5及偏光鏡6的面鏡顯示器7會併入或嵌埋至 面鏡2,其實質上反射所有的光線(放射)(多至1〇〇%的穿透 或發射,圖2中以箭頭13標示之)。 在多數應用中,面鏡2(大幅地)較面鏡顯示器7更大。在顯 示區域外,面鏡是普通的鏡子。在顯示區域内,不存在反 射層,因而面鏡顯示器是可見的。二區域的反射性質不須 相同。然而,若二區域的反射率(及其他光學參數,如,顏 色)選擇為相同,則之間的轉換會比較不明顯。圖3顯示另 一實施例,其中該轉換會另加罩幕。由孔洞向外的方向看 去,孔洞9邊緣U之反射層8的反射率會增加。會在丨瓜瓜與 2〇 mm間之距離達到理想的增加。其可藉由以下任一獲得>、: 使用一反射層8的斜邊U,或當反射層包括此樣的反射i粒$子 之成分時,(例)減少反射粒子的集中。圖3之箭頭ΐ4,Η, 16具有如圖2的相同意義。 在顯不本顯不為的貫施例令 而顯示器截止時,亮度是最佳 鏡性質可以是最理想作為鏡子 ,當顯示區域同時作為鏡子 的。再者,非顯示區域的面 的’及偏光鏡大小會受限於
