O:\91\91129.DOC M267463 異質性。另一方面,當面鏡具有包括一反射層的第一部份 及至少部份穿透來自偏光鏡之光線的第二部份時,完全反 射層可用在顯示裝置區域的外側。 通常,偏光鏡具有一第一面板,其反射第一類偏光之光 線至觀看側,令光線穿透第二類偏光之光線的面鏡可以顯 尸、衣置β又置於其非觀看侧,其中顯示裝置在使用期間會提 供第二類偏光的光線。顯示裝置在使用期間會發射或反射 (偏光的)光線。 具有反射第一類偏光之光線的第一面板意即,面鏡面板 作為偏光面板。使用時,在入射在偏光面板上的某範圍波 長内之光線會分為二成分,一為藉由偏光面板反射,及另 -為穿透偏光面板。通常最習知的是,分為二成分的光線 是線性偏光的’為垂直方向的偏光。另一方面,光線可分 為右旋性及左旋性或橢圓極性。 «面鏡的第一可行應用是互動浴室鏡。當使用者站在 面鏡刖方刷牙或刮鬍時,面鏡即可顯示(較佳為個人化的) =料(如’新聞或氣象預報)。對孩童而言,當刷牙時為了學 習刷牙⑼時間)時,該面鏡中的相同或另一個顯示器即可顯 丁互動私不(如,以卡通人物)。該面鏡更可用於在洗澡或剪 髮時顯示電視或電影。 、該面鏡亦可作為掌上型互動裝置,如,化妝包内的鏡子 或用於汽車中’其中以CCD相機觀看時的死角可直接以後 照鏡顯示。 車乂仫地、亥面鏡包括一孔洞,其位於顯示裝置區域的反

如以下鈾案所述:歐洲專利申請案,案號02076069 2,申 請日 2002/3/18,及案號02079306.3,申請日 2〇〇2/1〇/17(=pHNL 02.1038),可引用一偏光鏡或反射偏光器而獲得面鏡功能, 其中該面鏡(面板)只反射第一類偏光(方向)的光線(實質上 為50%的反射率,圖2中以箭頭14標示之),但顯示器$所產 生之第二類偏光(方向)的光線會穿透(100%的穿透或發 射,圖2中以箭頭15標示之)。 包括顯示器5及偏光鏡6的面鏡顯示器7會併入或嵌埋至 面鏡2,其實質上反射所有的光線(放射)(多至1〇〇%的穿透 或發射,圖2中以箭頭13標示之)。 在多數應用中,面鏡2(大幅地)較面鏡顯示器7更大。在顯 示區域外,面鏡是普通的鏡子。在顯示區域内,不存在反 射層,因而面鏡顯示器是可見的。二區域的反射性質不須 相同。然而,若二區域的反射率(及其他光學參數,如,顏 色)選擇為相同,則之間的轉換會比較不明顯。圖3顯示另 一實施例,其中該轉換會另加罩幕。由孔洞向外的方向看 去,孔洞9邊緣U之反射層8的反射率會增加。會在丨瓜瓜與 2〇 mm間之距離達到理想的增加。其可藉由以下任一獲得>、: 使用一反射層8的斜邊U,或當反射層包括此樣的反射i粒$子 之成分時,(例)減少反射粒子的集中。圖3之箭頭ΐ4,Η, 16具有如圖2的相同意義。 在顯不本顯不為的貫施例令 而顯示器截止時,亮度是最佳 鏡性質可以是最理想作為鏡子 ,當顯示區域同時作為鏡子 的。再者,非顯示區域的面 的’及偏光鏡大小會受限於
