Description
本發明之實施例係有關電路保護裝置之領域。本發明尤有關使用雙捲繞可熔配線元件之熔絲,其配置以抵抗與電感性和電容性負載相關之高突波電流。
熔絲通常用來作為電路保護裝置,並形成與待保護之電路中之組件間的電氣連接。熔絲設計來藉由成為電路中之弱連接,保護電路或電路組件。一種熔絲包括一外殼,由塑膠底座和塑膠帽組成,有一對導體或端子延伸穿過底座,並經由可熔元件連接,該可熔元件形成外殼內部之端子間的橋接。為了固定端子於外殼內部,每個端子和/或底座之一部分變形以夾緊端子周圍的夾,藉此,夾緊個別端子周圍的底座。可熔元件附裝到突出於底座上方的兩個導體。可熔元件通常是焊接到二端子之端部之導電配線。熔絲放置於待保護之電路中,俾當異常超載情況發生時,可熔元件熔化。
在某些電路保護應用(如馬達等)中,通常在達到裝置之穩定狀態之前,可能發生突波電流或短期電流過載狀況。用在這些類型之電路的熔絲須設計來容許此短期突波通過熔絲而不會熔化可熔元件。此高突波狀況以電流和時間(t2)界定,其宜避免開路,除非電流超過熔絲之額定電流之特定百分比。
用於此等用途之一種熔絲採用螺旋捲繞之可熔元件。特別是,該可熔元件包括以熔絲捻成,或以螺旋型式繞線芯捲繞之紗纖芯。包括線芯之紗通常是一種陶瓷材料,其無熔絲燒斷時可能導電的任何材料。捲繞配線可包括複數條絞線,其配置來提供例如指出係慢熔或延時熔絲之增熱吸收。
當電路過載時,多餘電流通過可熔元件會導致其產生熱,從而提高熔絲的溫度。換句話說,線芯用來作為散熱器,自熔絲將此熱抽走,從而降低熔絲的溫度。以此方式,從熔絲到線芯的熱轉移延長達到熔絲熔化前所需的時間。對於更高額定電流之熔絲,使用更大直徑的熔絲來抵抗過配線的更高電流,並因此抵抗較高的溫度。然而,捲繞熔絲的大小有限,從而限制配線可抵抗多餘電流量,以及捲繞配線和線芯之間的傳熱量。因此,需要一種熔絲,使用捲繞之可熔元件和運用該元件之熔絲,其配置來於可熔元件上提供高I2t特性,抵抗與電感性和電容性負載相關之高突波電流,以保護特定類型之電路組件和相關電路。
本發明之例示性實施例係指一種用於具有雙捲繞可熔配線元件之電路保護裝置中之改良可熔元件,配置以抵抗與電感性和電容性負載相關之高突波電流。於例示性實施例中,該可熔元件包括:絕緣線芯,具有縱軸;第一配線,沿該線芯之縱軸繞該線芯捲繞;以及第二配線,實質正交繞該第一配線之縱軸捲繞,俾該可熔元件配置以抵抗過電流脈波而不熔化。
在另一例示性實施例中,熔絲包括:外殼,於其內界定出一空腔;第一端蓋,附接於該外殼之第一端;第二端蓋,附接於該外殼之第二端;以及可熔元件,配置在該空腔內。該可熔元件具有電連接至該第一端蓋之第一端及電連接至該第二端蓋之第二端。該可熔元件包括:絕緣線芯,具有一縱軸;第一配線,沿該線芯之縱軸繞該線芯捲繞;以及第二配線,實質正交繞該第一配線之縱軸捲繞。
在另一例示性實施例中,熔絲包括:外殼,於其內界定出一空腔;第一端蓋,附接於該外殼之第一端;第二端蓋,附接於該外殼之第二端;以及可熔元件,配置在該空腔內。該可熔元件具有電連接至該第一端蓋之第一端及電連接至該第二端蓋之第二端。該可熔元件包括:絕緣線芯,具有一縱軸;第一配線,沿該線芯之縱軸繞該線芯捲繞;以及第二配線,實質正交繞該第一配線之縱軸捲繞。
現在將於後文參考顯示本發明較佳實施例之附圖,更充分說明本發明。惟,本發明可以許多不同形式實施,不應被解釋為侷限於所載實施例。反而,提供這些實施例,使該揭示將徹底和完整,對熟於本技藝人士充份傳達本發明的範圍。在圖式中,相同元件符號通篇標示相同元件。
第1圖顯示熔絲5,其包括由底座15和蓋18界定之外殼10。外殼10形成一空腔,於其內配置一可熔元件30。外殼可由能耐熔絲燒斷時產生之熱的塑膠或電氣絕緣材料形成。該底座及蓋亦可由塑膠或其他合適材料和蓋製成。一對導線或端子20、25通過底座15並經由配置於外殼10內部之可熔元件30電連接。端子20和25的上端可例如包括夾,保持可熔元件30之端部與端子之個別端部接觸。焊接部分35和40分別被用來連接可熔元件30之端部至導體20和25。可熔元件30被顯示為配置成與底座15之縱表面成平行關係,並垂直於導體20和25之每一者之縱軸。當發生特定過電流或突波電流狀況時,可熔元件熔化或以其他方式斷開而中斷電路路徑,並隔離受保護之電氣組件或電路免受到損害。此外,弧形淬火材料45也可包括在外殼10內以吸收例如,過電流狀況後,可熔元件30熔化時,所發生之電弧的作用。
第2圖係根據本揭示內容之實施例,只是可熔元件30之立體圖。可熔元件30包括線芯50,其由例如,玻璃紗之電絕緣材料形成。雙捲繞配線繞線芯配置。特別是,雙捲繞配線由縱向繞線芯50自第一端至第二端捲繞之第一配線元件60及實質正交繞配線元件60之縱軸捲繞之第二配線元件70界定。換句話說,配線元件60有一縱軸,對應其相對於線芯50之位置,且第二配線元件70正交配線元件60之縱軸配置。配線元件60和70的組合繞線芯50複數圈或捲。用於形成可熔元件30之配線元件60和70包括雙捲繞導電材料,配置在預定溫度(亦即額定電流)下熔化,中斷在發生過載的電路。配線元件70捲繞於配線元件60降低相關電阻,不影響當達到電流切斷達臨限值時所需之熱能。

Claims (9)
- 一種熔絲,包括:外殼,包括底座及蓋,該底座設置在該蓋內於該外殼內界定出一空腔;第一和第二端子,延伸穿過該底座之下部中的對應開口,並伸入該空腔內;可熔元件,在該空腔內有電連接至該第一端子之第一端及電連接至該第二端子之第二端,該可熔元件包括:絕緣線芯,具有一縱軸;第一配線,沿該絕緣線芯之該縱軸繞該絕緣線芯捲繞;以及第二配線,實質正交於該第一配線的縱軸繞該第一配線捲繞;以及弧形淬火材料,設置在該底座的連續剖面中的凹陷內。
