Description
一種於設置指紋感測器的裝置、系統及其方法,特別是關於將指紋感測器與液晶顯示器的電路及顯示相整合的裝置、系統及其方法。
指紋感測技術的出現,帶動了辨識及認證處理的革命。在多數情況下,指紋因其具有難以複製及模仿的特性而得以作為個人識別之用。隨著可擷取指紋資料並將其儲存於極小數位檔案的技術的出現,也便利了指紋辨識及認證在法律執行、採證及資訊安全等領域上的實施。
然而,目前被廣泛採用的指紋感測技術正面臨諸多困難,其中之一即為獨立式指紋影像擷取裝置的需求的提高,而一般的消費者層級電腦系統並不包含該種裝置。實際上,將一個僅能擷取指紋影像的獨立元件整合到多功能的電腦系統中對於消費者或電腦製造商來說都不符合經濟效益,雖然目前存在一些低價指紋感測裝置,消費者通常還是不願意購買功能有限的個別設備。因此,電腦製造商通常並不會整合該種設備作為內建元件。
除此之外,對於講求較小尺寸或重量輕盈的系統來說,在系統中應用該些元件通常也較不實際。有鑑於手持式裝置的功能日漸擴充和手持式裝置的廣泛使用,手持式裝置的技術人員與設計人員長久以來一直希望在最小化尺寸和最低成本的前提下最大程度的改良手持式裝置精緻化和使用方便性,因此,手持式裝置中一般僅設置有基本功能所需要的輸入/輸出元件,例如:螢幕、鍵盤、和有限數量的按鍵等。
基於前述原因,在一般資訊安全的應用情境中,如:電子郵件、網路銀行及社交網路等,指紋辨識技術尚無法完全取代使用者名稱及密碼的辨識方式。然而,隨著牽涉敏感性資料的網路應用的使用者越來越多,使用者端與遠端電腦系統之間也需要建立授權機制,因此比單純密碼認證方式更加嚴謹的身份認證程序已經逐漸成為不可忽視的需求。
液晶顯示(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)技術的出現及其廣泛使用提供了前述問題一個解決途徑。LCD技術可以透過將輸入與輸出功能整合於單一分離式元件來滿足低成本和多元應用的需求。觸控螢幕(touch-screen)技術通常是由一層特殊的LCD面板裝置來使系統可同時在同一表面輸出顯示的資料及接收使用者的輸入。由於具有低電耗和低實體空間需求量,LCD技術在電腦系統中幾乎已全面取代了陰極射線管(Cathode Ray Tube,CRT)的顯示技術。此外,隨著LCD觸控顯示螢幕的技術越來越純熟且成本也逐漸降低,整合有該技術的手持式運算裝置的使用也越來越趨普遍化。
隨著具有內建指紋感測功能的LCD顯示裝置的出現,採用基於指紋辨識認證程序的應用也越來越廣泛。然而,要將現行的指紋感測技術整合到LCD觸控螢幕來說,硬體相容性將會是一大問題。多數指紋感測器需要將電阻式、電容式、熱感應式或光學式等指紋感測器元件安裝於矽製電路上,因此將矽製電路與LCD顯示器結合將會涉及諸多會造成成本增加的設計改良或製程變動。實際上,若是一個具有特殊機制及元件的指紋感測系統則可以輕易的與現行的LCD顯示器結合來改善前述問題,本發明稍後將會對該系統進行詳細說明。
本發明為一種可與液晶顯示(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)觸控層或LCD玻璃本身進行整合的新穎指紋感測器,其中,指紋感測器的感測元件可取代以往觸控螢幕中的控制晶片並提供一個同時具有觸控螢幕功能及指紋感測功能的單晶片解決方案。
此外,本發明係與將指紋感測器與顯示器(如:液晶顯示器)整合的裝置、系統及方法直接相關,因此本發明的圖式包含多個元件的多個設置實施例示意圖,而所顯示的元件,則包含指紋感測器元件及用來整合LCD螢幕的不同子元件、結構及其均等物以用來整合到裝置或系統中,藉此應用有本發明的裝置或系統將會具備指紋感測能力。
於本發明所述的指紋感測器及相關電路可以被實施於KaptonTM
膠片中,其中KaptonTM
膠片為一種可設置電路元件或將電路印刷於其上的基體材質。本發明將參考於2005年7月19日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為11/184,464的“可消除差異化雜訊的電子指紋感測器”(“Electronic Fingerprint Sensor with Differential Noise Cancellation”)一案,以及於2001年12月5日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為10/005,643的“掃拭斷層容錯的指紋感測系統及方法”(“Swiped Aperture Capacitive Fingerprint Sensing Systems and Methods”)一案。本發明同時也參考於2003年10月20日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為10/689,107的“掃拭斷層容錯的指紋感測系統及方法”(“Swiped Aperture Capacitive Fingerprint Sensing Systems and Methods”)一案與於2005年4月15日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為11/107,682的“指紋位置感測方法及其裝置”(“Fingerprint Position Sensing Methods and Apparatus”)兩案之結合技術。本發明也參考於1998年5月15日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為09/080,322的“組合指紋擷取與控制的裝置”(“Combined Fingerprint Acquisition and Control Device”)一案,與於2000年1月24日提出申請,美國專利申請序號為09/489,908的“組合指紋擷取與控制的裝置”(“Combined Fingerprint Acquisition and Control Device”)兩案之結合技術。該些參考文件與本發明息息相關且介紹了感測器的設置及設計的細節,因此於此將會結合所述的該些申請案及所取得專利作為參考文件。
以下將配合圖式及實施例來詳細說明本發明之實施方式以供充分理解,任何於該領域具通常知識者應可在本發明的揭露前提下予以實施。於本發明中習知元件係以示意圖或流程圖進行繪製以避免不必要的細節造成理解上的困擾。此外,雖大部分與網路通訊、資料結構相關的其他細節說明上多有刪減,但該些刪減部分為本發明所屬領域具有通常知識者所能輕易瞭解,應不影響對本發明的完整實施方式的理解。
此外,若非特別指明採用何種方式實施,於本發明所述的功能應均可透過硬體、軟體、或軟硬體的結合來實施。於本發明中實施方式及專利保護範圍也採用特定名詞來說明特定的系統元件。於本發明所屬領域具通常知識者均可得知,同一元件可以具有不同名詞但具相同作用及功能,本發明於此並非根據名詞定義方式區別元件而是以實質上的作用及功能方式來加以區別。於本發明中的說明及專利保護範圍將以“包含”、“包括”、“結合”等開放式語句進行描述,因此應以“包含,但不限於…”進行解讀。此外,在本發明中所述的“結合”是指直接或間接的電性或溝通連接方式,因此若有一第一裝置與一第二裝置結合,兩者之間的結合方式可以是直接接合,或是透過其他裝置或連接機制進行間接的結合。
雖然於本發明中搭配圖式及實施例進行說明,但並非用以限定本發明,因此本發明應不限定於實施例中所描述的特定建構方式或排列方式,任何本領域具通常知識者均可在本發明的揭露前提下稍作變更,於本發明所繪示的圖式及所舉實施例僅用以說明而非用以限定本發明。

於本發明所述之“裝置及其方法”包含了一個裝置以及一個方法。雖然於本發明的實施方式中係以擷取指紋的裝置、系統及相關方法的角度加以描述,本發明的範疇則不限於任何可應用本發明的物件或情境中。除此之外,雖然本發明是以特定實施例來說明本發明的實施方式,該些實施例僅用以舉例說明,任何在本領域具有通常知識者均可在不脫離本發明的前提下添加、變更或是複製與本發明具有相同作用的物件,本發明的範疇將由附加的專利保護範圍及其均等物,以及稍後提出的專利保護範圍及其均等物所界定。
如同於先前技術所提到,由於將矽製的指紋感測器與液晶顯示(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)螢幕整合實際上是相當困難的,而經由本發明僅使用導電金屬線路形成指紋感測器的新穎設計的揭露,先前技術中的的問題將可分而化之,而此種使用導電金屬線路形成指紋感測器的方式更可以取代觸控螢幕功能。本發明可以利用現行的觸控螢幕及LCD製造技術製成,其透過將指紋感測導電元件設置於LCD元件的夾層中,並且可以將指紋感測導電元件整合於或設置為被包含於現行觸控螢幕的金屬層(由銦錫氧化物ITO形成)中。藉此LCD面板則可以同時具有指紋感測功能而不需要變更可見顯示元件的運作方式,而且可以利用現行的LCD製造技術輕易地製造出應用有本發明所述設計及設置方式的LCD面板。
如同先前所述,本發明所揭露的指紋掃拭感測器包含基體材質及與指紋感測線路溝通的控制器,其中基體材質的一個表面具有指紋感測線路且與LCD螢幕相整合,而與指紋感測線路溝通的控制器係於使用者將手指掃拭過指紋感測線路時擷取指紋影像。於一個實施例中,基體材質可以是固定觸控螢幕電路與指紋感測線路的保護外層,可以透過保護外層的安裝將觸控螢幕電路與指紋感測線路安裝於LCD螢幕上。在另一個實施例中,基體材質可以安裝於一個固定有觸控螢幕電路的保護外層上,可以透過保護外層的安裝將觸控螢幕電路及基體材質安裝於LCD螢幕上。
本發明也揭露一個整合有指紋掃拭感測器的LCD螢幕,其包含一個LCD表面、一個基體材質及一個控制器。其中,LCD表面用以提供可見顯示。其中,基體材質的其中一個表面具有指紋感測線路,且基體材質係與LCD螢幕相整合以供指紋感測線路於不影響可見顯示的前提下擷取指紋影像。其中,控制器係與指紋感測線路溝通以於使用者手指掃拭過指紋感測線路時擷取指紋影像。在一個實施例中,控制器更可以被設置來控制可見顯示。在另一個實施例中,LCD螢幕更可以包含一個附加的控制器以用來控制可見顯示。又或者另一個實施例中,LCD螢幕更可以包含與指紋感測線路整合的觸控螢幕電路。
本發明係透過最小侵入性機制將指紋感測器整合於LCD顯示器各元件的夾層中,其中該些元件在以往係被整合於LCD顯示器上的觸控層或被整合於LCD顯示層本身。該整合機制是於一層置於LCD螢幕下的保護外層進行,該夾層中是否包含觸控感測電路則視不同應用情況而定。於本發明所舉的實施例包含觸控感測電路及指紋感測電路的描述及示意,其中,觸控感測電路及指紋感測電路均可以是電容式也可以是電阻式,然於本發明並非用以將任何特殊設置方式或使用技術限制於該種形式,本發明保護範圍是由包含專利申請範圍所限定的內容、未來提出的專利申請範圍的內容及均等範圍的內容所界定。
在現行的觸控螢幕設計中,一般都具有安裝有觸控螢幕電路的液晶顯示印刷電路(LCD printed circuit board,LCD PCB),以及鋪設在觸控螢幕電路上的保護外殼或保護外層。觸控螢幕電路係透過LCD PCB以一或兩種方式與LCD顯示器相接。舉例來說,觸控螢幕電路可以先掛載於LCD PCB當中,接著再將保護外殼或保護外層覆蓋在觸控螢幕電路上。或者,也可以將觸控螢幕電路鋪設於保護外殼或保護外層上,接著將兩者的組合結構安裝於LCD PCB上,使得觸控螢幕電路得以被安裝於保護外殼(或保護外層)與LCD PCB之間。藉此,指紋感測器的基體材質便可以被整合。
接下來將會搭配圖式及例子來說明本發明裝置或系統的設置方式。
請參考「第1圖」,為一個具有印刷電路板(printed circuit board,PCB) 102的LCD面板100示意圖,其中印刷電路板102是用來固定LCD元件以提供顯示。LCD面板100同時包含一個觸控螢幕電路104(可選擇性地設置)及整合的指紋感測器106,其中指紋感測器106具有一個指紋掃拭區108用以擷取使用者的指紋。該裝置可以透過多種方式進行製造,而於本揭露前提下,任何於該領域具通常知識者均可於不需過度實驗的前提下得知如何設計和製造出該裝置。LCD面板100可以應用於多種裝置中,如:電腦裝置、手持式電話、可攜式娛樂裝置、平板裝置…等。
請參考「第2圖」,為一個具有上層保護外層202的裝置200的內部夾層示意圖,其中上層保護外層202的內部具有觸控感測電路204。「第2圖」中繪有一個薄層的內部夾層示意圖,是用以說明指紋感測器206是整合於上層保護外層202與LCD PCB 208之間,之後將會針對以薄電路層製成的指紋感測器206進行說明。
「第3圖」為本發明LCD顯示裝置的一種組合方式產生組合物300的分解示意圖,組合物300包含LCD PCB 302及指紋感測器304。在此實施例中,指紋感測器304係設置於保護外層306的保護外層上表面308與LCD PCB 302之間。其中,保護外層上表面308係使用者直接接觸的表面。觸控感測電路310係位於保護外層306的下表面,而保護外層306將用以與指紋感測器304及LCD PCB 302組合。在傳統的組合方式中,觸控感測電路310可以黏合於或設置於保護外層306的下表面與保護外層306組合,最後再將其組合物安裝於LCD PCB 302上。在其他的組合方式中,觸控感測電路310可以直接與LCD PCB 302組合,然後再於已安裝有觸控感測電路310的LCD PCB 302上鋪上另一層,其中,指紋感測器304可以與觸控感測電路310位於同一層,或是在觸控感測電路310所在層之上較接近手指接觸面的地方。在其他不同的實施例中,指紋感測器304可以是形成於LCD顯示裝置上表面的ITO層中,接著再於外部覆蓋形成保護外層。
請參考「第4圖」,為透過另一種組合方式產生組合物400的示意圖。在「第4圖」中,保護外層404安裝有觸控感測電路408,並鋪設有指紋感測器410。保護外層404(包含觸控感測電路408及指紋感測器410)接著將會被安裝到LCD PCB 402上。經過組合後,觸控感測電路408及指紋感測器410將會被設置於保護外層404與LCD PCB 402之間。
請參考「第5圖」,其繪有另外兩種產生組合物500的組合方式的展開示意圖。其中一種為先將觸控感測電路504鋪設於LCD PCB 502上,接著將指紋感測器506鋪設於觸控感測電路504上,然後再將保護外層508鋪設指紋感測電路506上。另一種方式則為先將指紋感測器506安裝於保護外層508,觸控感測電路504接著再安裝於已安裝有指紋感測器506的保護外層508,接著再將當前的組合物一併安裝於LCD PCB 502上。
接著請參考「第6圖」,為一個外層610的一個表面612安裝有具I/O電路608的指紋感測電路606的組合實施例,其中,觸控感測電路604將會安裝於外層610並覆蓋於指紋感測電路606之上,接著再將其組合物安裝或透過其他方式與LCD PCB 602相結合。
請參考「第7圖」,為另一個形成組合物700的組合方式示意圖,其中電路更加緊密整合。電路組合702包含觸控感測電路704及與I/O電路708相接的指紋感測電路706。觸控感測電路704也同樣與另一I/O電路710相接以便與處理器、控制器或其他裝置相連。此種組合可以先後或同時被安裝於LCD PCB 712的保護外層。此種組合可以提供更簡易的整合方案且更適於單元化設計。組合中的各個不同層可以透過多種不同的組合順序進行設置,而本發明所描述的例子僅用以說明不同的組合方式。在此所述的組合物,更可延伸應用於單一積體電路(Integrated Circuit,IC),透過單IC來驅動與指紋感測電路706相接的I/O電路708以及與觸控感測電路704相連的I/O電路710,I/O線路可以皆與單IC相接以進行驅動。另外,於本實施例中的觸控螢幕可以使用電阻式指紋感測器、射頻(Radio Frequency)傳送/接收系統或是其他系統。
請參考「第8圖」,為另一種組合方式示意圖,其中單一電路元件804同時具有指紋感測及觸控感測的功能。其中,指紋感測及觸控感測功能皆是由I/O電路806進行驅動。電路組合802包含電路元件804及I/O電路806,電路組合802將會安裝於LCD PCB 808上。在裝置中可以透過單IC裝置及單一ITO金屬層來達成單一平面的傳送/接收以進行指紋感測及觸控感測。
請參考「第9圖」,為根據本發明的方法進行感測裝置900設置的示意圖。感測裝置900包含先前各實施例所述的線性陣列912,也包含一個感測元件902。感測裝置也包含一個負責控制感測元件902基本運作的感測控制邏輯952。感測控制邏輯952所能執行的實際運作功能是隨著感測元件的設置而有所差異,運作功能包含電源控制、重設像素或資料接點控制、輸出訊號控制、冷卻控制(在某些光學感測的情況下)及其他感測元件所需要的基本控制。感測控制為具通常知識者所能理解,因此在實際上所需要進行的控制應視設置情況而定,本發明在此則不加限定感測控制的實際控制內容。
感測裝置900更包含一個讀取電路954,負責於指紋接觸到感測表面907時讀取感測元件902的類比輸出訊號。讀取電路954包含一個放大器956及一個低通濾波器958。放大器956,負責放大類比訊號以便採取後續運作時可以更精確地解讀。低通濾波器958負責過濾類比訊號中的雜訊,以便更有效地處理類比訊號。讀取電路954更包含一個A/D轉換器(類比/數位轉換器)960,負責將感測元件902的輸出訊號轉換為0及1的數位表示方式,以便解讀指紋感測時在感測表面907上的像素或資料接點。感測元件902的輸出訊號可以被動作感測器及指紋感測表面接收,然後另外被讀取及進行處理。
讀取電路954可以將輸出訊號儲存於儲存裝置962中,儲存裝置962同時也是指紋資料964被儲存的位置,儲存週期可以是暫存到處理器966開始處理訊號,也可以持續儲存以利處理器966之後的使用。處理器966包含運算單元968及處理單元970。運算單元968負責處理游標的位置運算及指紋的重建,而處理單元970則負責處理包含類比轉數位、放大器、訊號過濾器、邏輯閘(圖中未示)等的資訊。持續性記憶體974則是用來儲存處理器966所需要使用到的演算法976及應用程式978。感測裝置900中則可以透過系統匯流排980與其他元件之間進行傳輸通訊。
進行組合時,設置本發明的指紋感測器的方法實際上相當的多。舉例來說,可以透過一個在彈性基體材質的其中一表面上的指紋感測線路來產生得以與LCD螢幕整合的指紋感測器。因此如:膝上型電腦、手持式電話、觸控螢幕界面或其他整合有指紋感測器的個人裝置都可以在節省空間的前提下簡化整合設計。
在另一個實施例中,指紋感測器可以安裝於LCD PCB上且與觸控感測電路區分開來,亦即觸控感測電路是安裝於保護外殼或外層上,觸控感測電路與保護外殼或外層所形成的組合結構接著再安裝到LCD PCB上,如此一來,LCD螢幕也可以同時與觸控感測電路及指紋感測電路整合為一體。
在另一個實施例中,指紋感測器可以安裝於已安裝有觸控感測電路的保護外殼或外層中,接著再將其組合物安裝於LCD PCB上。藉此LCD螢幕也可以同時與觸控感測電路及指紋感測電路整合為一體。
在另一個實施例中,基體材質與保護外層是分開來的。保護外層上鋪設有觸控感測電路及指紋感測線路,而保護外層則可再安裝到LCD螢幕上。或是在另一種組合方式中,觸控感測電路可以直接安裝於LCD PCB上,指紋感測電路則安裝於保護外殼或外層上,接著再將LCD PCB與保護外殼或外層相結合產生同時具有觸控螢幕與指紋感測功能的LCD螢幕。
經過上述的結合方式後將可產生同時整合有指紋掃拭感測器及觸控螢幕的LCD螢幕。LCD螢幕可能僅具有指紋感測器、或僅具有觸控螢幕、或者指紋感測器及觸控螢幕兼具。LCD螢幕經設置後可以產生可見顯示畫面,而在LCD螢幕表面則可安裝一個可能包含有指紋感測電路的觸控感測電路。或者,可以透過將一個包含有指紋感測電路的基體材質安裝於觸控感測電路的上方或下方來達成。無論是哪一種設置方式,其組合結構皆可以與LCD螢幕整合,使LCD螢幕可以透過指紋感測電路擷取指紋影像而不影響觸控螢幕的運作和顯示。
透過上述方式所產生的系統更包含一個可以與指紋感測電路溝通的控制器,當使用者將指紋掃拭過指紋感測電路時,控制器將會與指紋感測電路溝通並擷取指紋影像。在一個系統中,液晶顯示與指紋感測可能具有個別的控制器,亦即系統包含液晶顯示控制器負責控制可見顯示,而指紋感測器的運作由另一個控制器進行控制。或者,同一個控制器可以同時控制可見顯示及指紋感測。指紋感測器可以鋪設在LCD顯示器的上層玻璃上,而不需鋪設在觸控層上。
「第10圖」為一個LCD顯示裝置組合程序1000的流程示意圖。首先,將LCD控制器鋪設於印刷電路板(步驟1002)並將指紋感測器安裝於同一印刷電路板上(步驟1004)。LCD模組接著再安裝於同一印刷電路板上(步驟1006)。接著將動作感測電路鋪設於透明保護層的其中一個表面上(步驟1008)並將指紋感測電路鋪設於透明保護層的同一個表面上(步驟1010)。接著將LCD控制器與動作感測電路相接(步驟1012),然後將指紋感測控制器與指紋感測電路相接(步驟1014)。最後,將使用者保護外層鋪設於透明保護層上(步驟1016)以保護組合完成物。
「第11圖」為另一個LCD顯示裝置組合流程1100的示意圖。首先,將LCD控制器安裝於印刷電路板(步驟1102)並將指紋感測控制器安裝於同一印刷電路板(步驟1104)。接著將LCD模組安裝於印刷電路板上(步驟1106)。接著將動作感測電路舖設在LCD模組的一表面(步驟1108),並將指紋感測電路鋪設在透明保護層的一表面(步驟1110)。然後將LCD控制器與動作感測電路相接(步驟1112),並將指紋感測控制器與指紋感測電路相接(步驟1114)。最後,將透明保護層安裝於LCD模組上以使指紋感測電路座落於動作感測電路與透明保護層之間(步驟1116)。
本發明同時也牽涉了許多需要由電腦處理器,如:微處理器,執行的功能。於本發明中所述的微處理器可以是執行特定工作的微處理器,用以執行機器可讀取定義有不同執行工作的軟體程式碼。微處理器可以與其他裝置如:DMA(direct memory access)模組、記憶儲存裝置、網路相關硬體及其他與資料傳輸相關的裝置等進行溝通並執行操作。所述的軟體程式碼可以是特定格式如:Java、C++、XML(Extensible Mark-up Language)及其他程式語言等所定義出的執行特殊操作的描述。程式碼可以利用不同的形式和編排格式寫成,不同的軟體程式的程式格式、程式設置、編排格式及形式或其他可用來定義微處理器需要執行的工作的屬性均在本發明的範疇當中,此多為具通常知識者所得知,在此則不加贅述。
在不同類別的裝置,例如:膝上型電腦或桌上型電腦、具有處理器或處理邏輯的手持式裝置、電腦伺服器或其他可應用本發明的裝置,都有不同的記憶裝置在執行本發明功能運作時用來儲存及獲取資料。快取記憶裝置經常被應用於所述的裝置中以提供中央處理單元一個可以頻繁地儲存和獲取資料的資料記憶位置。同樣地,一個持續性記憶體也經常被應用於所述的裝置中以便中央處理單元頻繁地獲取資料,但與快取記憶不同的是,持續性記憶體中的資料並不會經常的被改變。當軟體應用程式被中央處理單元執行時,主記憶體則負責儲存和獲取更大量的資料,因此主記憶體通常也被包含在所述的裝置中。所述的記憶裝置可以使用RAM(random access memory)、SRAM(static random access memory)、DRAM(dynamic random access memort)、快閃記憶體(flash memory)及其他中央處理單元可以存取的記憶儲存裝置。在資料儲存和獲取的過程中,這些記憶裝置可能會產生多種不同狀態,例如不同的電位差、不同磁極…等等。因此,於本發明所述的系統及方法可使得資料在該些記憶裝置中進行實體轉移。此外,本發明係與新穎的系統與方法相關,在一個或多個實施例中,將會轉換記憶裝置的狀態。本發明在此則不將所述的記憶裝置限定於任何形式的記憶裝置或任何可以儲存或獲取資料的協定方式。
於本發明所述的“機器可讀媒體(machine-readable medium)”應被視為包含可儲存一個或多個指令集合的一個或多個媒體(例如:中控式或分散式資料庫、及/或相關快取或伺服器)。所述的“機器可讀媒體”也應被視為可儲存、編碼或記載機器可執行指令集的任何裝置或機制。機器可讀媒體包含任何可提供(亦即儲存及/或傳送)機器(如:電腦、PDA、手持式電話…等)可讀取格式資料的機制。舉例來說,機器可讀媒體包含記憶體(如前所述)、磁碟儲存媒體、光學儲存媒體、快閃記憶裝置、生物電極、機械系統、電、光、蝕刻或其他形式的傳導訊號(例如:載波、紅外線訊號、數位訊號…等)。所述裝置或機器可讀媒體可能包含微機電系統(micro-electron mechanical system,MEMS)、奈米裝置、有機、全像(holographic)、固態記憶裝置及/或旋轉磁極或光碟。所述裝置或機器可讀媒體可以是以分散式的儲存方式將指令分散於不同的機器中,例如分別儲存在交互連接的多部電腦中或不同的虛擬機器中。
透過本發明系統及方法的實施可提升指紋感測與資訊顯示的整合程度。本發明所述的部分實施例是穿插傳統指紋感測系統及方法進行說明。舉例來說,一個實施例為現行指紋偵測及/或感測系統的改良。其他實施例則穿插現行顯示系統及方法進行說明。舉例來說,一個實施例為現行顯示裝置的改良。
雖然本發明所述的元件及模組以特殊編排方式加以說明,元件及模組的編排方式可以稍加變更以不同的方式進行指紋資訊的感測和顯示。在其他實施例中,在本發明所述的系統上可以添加一個或多個元件或模組,也可以移除一個或多個元件或模組。或者在不同的實施例中可以結合一個或多個所述的元件或模組成為單一元件或模組。
雖然本發明所揭露之實施方式如上,惟所述之內容並非用以直接限定本發明之專利保護範圍。任何本發明所屬技術領域中具有通常知識者,在不脫離本發明所揭露之精神和範圍的前提下,可以在實施的形式上及細節上作些許之更動。本發明之專利保護範圍,仍須以所附之申請專利範圍所界定者為準。

Claims (20)
- 一種感測裝置,其包含:一保護層,所述保護層被設置用以提供一界面給使用者;一印刷電路板(printed circuit board,PCB),提供給一顯示裝置;一指紋感測器,設置於所述保護層以及所述印刷電路板之間,所述指紋感測器被配置以感測置於所述保護層上對應區域中與使用者手指對應的指紋;一觸控感測電路,設置於所述保護層的一底層上;其中,所述保護層、所述指紋感測器以及所述觸控感測電路被安裝於所述顯示裝置的一螢幕。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器更包含:一指紋感測電路,所述指紋感測電路包含與所述指紋感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述觸控感測電路更包含與所述觸控感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器更包含指紋感測電路,所述觸控感測電路包含與所述指紋感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路;其中所述觸控感測電路更包含與所述觸控感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路;及其中,所述感測裝置更包含單IC被設置用以驅動與所述 指紋感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路以及與所述觸控感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器為電容式指紋感測器。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器更包含指紋感測電路,所述指紋感測電路被設置於所述感測裝置上同所述觸控感測電路位於相同一層。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述保護層為保護玻璃。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述感測裝置更包含:一單控制器,所述單控制器被設置用以控制所述指紋感測器以及所述顯示裝置。
- 如申請專利範圍第8項所述的感測裝置,其中所述單控制器被安裝於所述印刷電路板上。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器包含複數個導電金屬感測線路。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述的感測裝置,其中所述複數個導電金屬感測線路與所述觸控螢幕電路整合。
- 如申請專利範圍第11項所述的感測裝置,其中所述複數個導電金屬感測線包含銦錫氧化物(indium tin oxide,ITO)。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的感測裝置,其中所述顯示裝置為液晶顯示以及所述印刷電路板為液晶顯示印刷電路板。
- 一種感測裝置,其包含: 一保護層,所述保護層被設置用以提供一界面給使用者;一觸控感測電路,設置於所述保護層上;一指紋感測器,所述指紋感測器包含:一基板,所述基板被安裝於所述保護層:及一指紋感測電路,所述指紋感測電路被設置於所述基板的一表面;及一印刷電路板(printed circuit board,PCB),提供給一顯示裝置;其中,所述保護層、所述指紋感測器以及所述觸控感測電路被安裝於所述印刷電路板。
- 如申請專利範圍第14項所述的感測裝置,其中所述指紋感測器更包含與所述指紋感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路;其中,所述觸控感測電路更包含與所述觸控感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路;及其中,所述感測裝置更包含單IC以驅動與所述指紋感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路以及與所述觸控感測電路相連接的輸入/輸出(I/O)電路。

- 一種感測裝置,其包含: 一保護層,所述保護層被設置用以提供一界面給使用者;一印刷電路板(printed circuit board,PCB),提供給一顯示裝置;一電路組件,被設置於所述保護層之下,所述電路組件包含:一單電路層,所述單電路層被設置用以提供指紋感測以及觸控螢幕檢測:及一輸入/輸出(I/O)電路,與所述單電路層相連接;其中,所述電路組件被安裝於所述印刷電路板。
- 如申請專利範圍第18項所述的感測裝置,其中所述單電路層包含銦錫氧化物(indium tin oxide,ITO)。
