五、發明說明(1 ) 發明背景 1 ·發明領域 裝--- (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 本發明係關於金屬表面修飾層合物。尤其,本發明係關 於將浸泡險系樹脂之蕊與金屬片結合成高壓層合物。 2.先前技藝之敘述 修飾層合物在家具及建築工業廣泛的被接受。修飾層合 物之耐久性、成本及多功能性使其對任一種構造之應用幾 乎都有用。例如,修飾層合物已見於自地板至家具至 countertops中各項中〇 層合物工業持績的努力以改善修飾層合物之功能性。不 管該改善是否關於將修飾層合物地板之企口接合構造固 定’或改善countertop、傢倶、儲存配件、青貯料桶、桶 型覆蓋物、設備正面、推板及角踢舨、天花板、住家傢 倶、壁舨、飾條及特點、或餐廳/食品服務設備。修飾層 合物製造之進步使此等材料等於或優於設計取代之材料。

五、發明說明(3 ) 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 例,該層合物之聚合物層爲浸泡樹脂之層。 依據依該方法製造之金屬表面修飾層合物之另—具體 例,該層合物之浸泡樹脂之層爲浸泡酚系樹脂之層。八 依據依孩方法製造之金屬表面修飾層合物之另—具# 例,該層合物之金屬層係選自含銅、黃銅、青輞、 鋼、鍍鋅鋼、鋁及電鍍鋁。 Μ之簡要斂沭 圖1係依本發明製造之金屬表面層合物之簡圖。 丝鱼具體例之斂沭 本文揭示本發明之詳細具體例。然而,應了解揭示之具 體例僅列舉本發明,且可能以各種形式列舉。因此,本^ 揭7F之細節並不視同限制,僅用作申請專利範園之基礎, 及當作敎示熟習本技藝者如何進行及/或利用本發明之基 礎。 參照圖1,係揭示本發明之修飾層合物1 〇。修飾層合物 10包含外金屬表面層12、結合層14,及蕊層16。雖然本 發明之較佳具體例揭示特定之層圖案,但層圖案可改變, 且並不背離本發明之精神。 金屬表面層12可選自製造金屬表面層合物通常使用之 各種金屬層。例如,金屬表面層可選自包含銅、黃銅、青 銅、不銹鋼、及鍍鋅鋼。雖然上面揭示較隹之金屬,但熟 習本技藝者將了解各種金屬均可依本發明使用。例如,期 望可依據本發明使用鋁及電鍍之鋁。 本發明所用金屬片之正確厚度可改變,以符合特定之功 -6 - 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS)A4規格(210 X 297公t ) (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) -Α衣 訂·. --線· 1222406 A7 B7 五、發明說明(4 ) (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 能及成本之限制。該金屬片之厚度較好爲可使用一般層合 物壓著裝置加工之厚度。因此,金屬片之厚度爲0·018公 分至0.076公分。 結合層1 4較好由DYLARK②(NOVA Chemicals, Inc·製造 之苯乙烯-馬來酸酐共聚物)。更好,結合層1 4係由 DYLARK® 481組成。DYLARK®呈現與組成詳述於下之蕊 層1 6之浸泡酚系樹脂牛皮紙傑出之結合特性。DYLARK@ 亦呈現與金屬表面層1 2傑出之結合特性。 關於與浸泡酚系樹脂牛皮紙結合之DYLARK®極佳之結 合特性係由於DYLARK®共聚物之馬來酸酐上之羧基所 致。羧基與酚系樹脂結合,得到極安定之層合物。雖然 DYLARK®係以本發明較佳之結合層材料揭示,但亦可使 用其他相同功能性及構造性之聚合物,且均不背離本發明 之精神。 關於DYLARK®與金屬表面層1 2之結合,極佳之結合特 性可能係由於D YLARK®能與金屬之氧化物層結合(見美國 專利第4,364,731號),或與金屬表面中之巨不規則性機械 結合(見美國專利第5,478,414號)或二者所致。 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 蕊層1 6較好由多層浸泡驗系樹脂之片組成’雖然亦可 使用其他材料,但均不背離本發明之精神。熟習本技藝者 將會了解決定片之適當數量,以形成高壓修飾層合物蕊之 評估考量。依本發明之較佳具體例,蕊係由三片浸泡酚系 樹脂之片形成。尤其,依本發明之較佳具體例,蕊層16 每平方米包含120-323克之乾燥浸泡酚系樹脂之牛皮紙。 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS)A4規格(210 X 297公釐) 1222406 A7 B7 五、發明說明(5 ) 該牛皮紙充分的浸泡,且與在起始層合步驟中轉化成熱固 態之實質上完全硬化之酚系樹脂結合。 (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 依本發明,本發明之金屬表面高壓修飾用層合物10係 以與一般修飾用層合物及相同之方式形成。先堆疊諸層, 且置於鋼板間。再使層合物堆疊在約143°C至154°C,較好 149°C,及約70.3公斤/平方公分下加溫至足以使層合物結 合,且使樹脂硬化之時間(一般約20〜30分鐘)。上述之溫 度範圍係以DYLARK®在溫度低於上述所列之溫度下,無 法滿意的與金屬結合之事實決定。 壓力及熱促使樹脂片中之樹脂流動、硬化且使片狀物如 修飾用高壓層合物般,結合成技藝中所稱之單一層合物 體。通常,一次均會形成超過一層合物。藉由在堆疊中插 入許多組立之片形成多重層合物。離型片係置於組立片 間,以分離各堆疊在一起之層合物。固化後,離型片使單 獨之層合物分離。 下圖揭示依本發明形成之層合物之結合強度(尤其,下 列數據係關於由蕊紙/ Dylark® /金屬/ Dylark®/蕊紙組成之層 合物之試驗): 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 金屬 負荷kg/cm2 應力kg/c 銅 790.45 197.61 黃銅 790.45 195.5 青銅 790.59 197.61 不銹鋼 790.52 197.61 鍍鋅鋼 790.66 197.68 -8- 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS)A4規格(210 X 297公釐) 1222406
