201038506 六、發明說明 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係有關由鈦酸鋁系陶瓷形成之燒成體的製造方 法,更詳細爲,係有關燒成含有鋁源粉末及鈦源粉末之原 料混合物的成形體,製造由鈦酸鋁系陶瓷形成之燒成體的 方法。 Ο 【先前技術】 已知鈦酸鋁系陶瓷爲,含有構成元素之鈦及鋁,X線 繞射光譜中具有鈦酸鋁之結晶圖型的陶瓷中,具有優良耐 熱性之陶瓷。先前鈦酸鋁系陶瓷係作爲坩堝般燒結器具用 等’但近年來使用爲,構成捕集由柴油機等內燃機關排出 之排氣所含的微細碳粒子用之陶瓷濾器的材料,以提高產 業上之利用價値。 已知的鈦酸鋁系陶瓷之製造方法如,燒成含有二氧化 ο 鈦等鈦源化合物粉末及氧化鋁等鋁源化合物粉末之原料混 合物的方法(專利文獻1 )。 先前技術文獻 專利文獻 專利文獻1 :國際公開第〇5/1 05 704號報告 【發明內容】 發明之槪要 發明所欲解決之課題 -5- 201038506 已知欽酸銘之熔點較高爲〗8 6 〇它,因此如上述般具 有優良耐熱性,但一般於8 0 0至1 2 Ο Ο X:附近之溫度下, 會有分解爲氧化鋁(Ah〇3)及二氧化鈦(Ti〇2)之舉動,故爲 耐熱分解性極低之材料。 又’將鈦酸錦系陶瓷使用於例如上述柴油機用之陶瓷 濾器時,因可能暴露於激烈震動下等,故要求具有優良機 械強度。 因此本發明之目的爲’提供製造具有優良耐熱分解性 及較高機械強度之由鈦酸鋁系陶瓷形成的燒成體之方法。 解決課題之方法 本發明係提供具備將含有鋁源粉末及鈦源粉末之原料 混合物的成形體進行燒成的步驟,又該鋁源粉末符合下述 式(1)之鈦酸鋁系燒成體的製造方法。 (D9 0/D1 0) 1/2έ2 (1) 上述式(1)中,D90爲相當於體積基準之累積百分率 90%的粒徑,D10爲相當於體積基準之累百分率10%的粒 徑,又此等係由利用雷射繞射法測定之鋁源粉末的粒度分 布求取。 上述原料混合物中,鋁源粉末之莫耳量與鈦源粉末之 莫耳量的比(鋁源粉末之莫耳量/鈦源粉末之莫耳量)較佳爲 35/65 至 45/55 。 又,上述原料混合物可另含有鎂源粉末。此時相對於 鋁源粉末之莫耳量及鈦源粉末之莫耳量的合計’鎂源粉末 -6 - 201038506 之莫耳量的比較佳爲0.03至0.15。 又,前述鋁源粉末之莫耳量係指以A1203(氧化鋁)換 算的莫耳量,係由下述式(A)求取(以下求取莫耳量之方 '法 相同)。 銘源粉末之莫耳量= (wixMi)/(Nix2)...... (A) 式(A)中,w!爲鋁源粉末之使用量(g),Μ!爲鋁源粉 末1莫耳中鋁之莫耳數,Νι爲鋁源粉末之式量。使用2 〇 種以上之鋁源粉末時,可由式(A)各自求取鋁源粉末之莫 耳量後,藉由合計各莫耳量而求取所使用的鋁源粉末之莫 耳量。 前述鈦源粉末之莫耳量係指以Ti02 (二氧化鈦)換算 之莫耳量,係由下述式(B)求得(以下求取莫耳量之方法相 同)。 鈦源粉末之莫耳量= (w2xM2)/N2……(B) 式(B)中,w2爲鈦源粉末之使用量(g),M2爲鈦源粉 ^ 末1莫耳中鈦之莫耳數,N2爲鈦源粉末之式量。使用2 種以上之鈦源粉末時,可由式(B)各自求取鈦源粉末之莫 耳量後,藉由合計各莫耳量而求所使用的鈦源粉末之莫耳 量。 前述鎂源粉末之莫耳量係指MgO(氧化鎂)換算之莫耳 量’係由下述式(C)求取(以下求取莫耳量之方法相同)。 鎂源粉末之莫耳量= (w3xM3)/N3...... (C) 式(C)中,w3爲鎂源粉末之使用量(g),M3爲鎂源粉 末1莫耳中鎂之莫耳數’N3爲鎂源粉末之式量。使用2 201038506 種以上之鎂源粉末時’可由式(C)各自求取鎂源粉末之莫 耳量後’藉由合計各莫耳量而求取所使用的鎂源粉末之莫 耳量。 欽源粉末及鎂源粉末的相當於體積基準之累積百分率 50%的粒徑(以下稱爲D50)較佳爲,各自爲〇.5至35μπ1。 上述原料混合物可另含有矽源粉末。又矽源粉末較佳 爲長石或玻璃料,或此等之混合物。相對於以Α12〇3換算 下鋁源粉末之莫耳量與以Ti〇2換算之鈦源粉末之莫耳量 的合計,以Si〇2換算的源粉末之莫耳量的比較佳爲約 0.0011至 0.123。及矽源粉末之 D50較佳爲 0.5至 3 0 μηι ° 前述矽源粉末之莫耳量係指Si〇3(二氧化矽)換算下之 莫耳量,係由下述式(D)求取(以下求取莫耳量之方法相 同)。 矽源粉末之莫耳量= (w4xM4)/N4...... (D) 式(D)中,w4爲矽源粉末之使用量(g),M4爲矽源粉 末1莫耳中矽之莫耳數,N4爲矽源粉末之式量。使用 2 種以上之矽源粉末時,可由式(D)各自求取矽源粉末之莫 耳量後,藉由合計各莫耳量而求取所使用的矽源粉末之莫 耳量。 又本說明書中,「〇5〇」係指利用雷射繞射法測定, 相當於體積基準之累積百分率5 0 %的粒徑。 上述原料混合物之成形體的形狀可爲蜂窝狀。前述燒 成溫度如1 3 0 0至1 6 5 0 °C,燒成時間如1 〇分鐘至2 4小 -8 - 201038506 時。 發明效果 本發明之製造方法可製造具有優良耐熱分解性,及提 升機械強度之鈦酸鋁系燒成體。 實施發明之最佳形態 Ο 本發明之鈦酸鋁系燒成體係由,燒成含有鋁源粉末及 鈦源粉末之原料混合物的成形體而得。使用該原料混合物 而得之鈦酸鋁系燒成體爲,由鈦酸鋁系結晶形成之燒成 體。 本發明所使用的原料混合物所含有之鋁源粉末爲,作 爲構成鈦酸鋁系燒成體之鋁成份用的物質粉末。鋁源粉末 如氧化鋁粉末。氧化鋁可爲結晶性,或不定形(非晶質)。 氧化鋁爲結晶性時,其結晶型如r型' 5型、0型、α型 〇 等,較佳爲使用α型之氧化鋁。 本發明所使用的鋁源粉末可爲,空氣中燒成而導入氧 化鋁之物質粉末。該物質如,鋁鹽、烷氧化鋁、氫氧化 鋁、鋁等。, 鋁鹽可爲與無機酸之鹽(無機鹽),或與有機酸之鹽 (有機鹽)。鋁無機鹽之具體例如,硝酸鋁、硝酸銨鋁等硝 酸鹽;碳酸銨鋁等碳酸鹽等。鋁有機鹽如,草酸鋁、乙酸 鋁、硬脂酸鋁、乳酸鋁、月桂酸鋁等。 又,烷氧化鋁之具體例如,異丙氧化鋁、乙氧化鋁、 -9 - 201038506 sec-丁氧化鋁、tert-丁氧化鋁等。 氫氧化銘可爲結晶性,或不定形。氫氧化鋁爲結晶性 時’其結晶型可爲三水鋁礦型、三羥鋁石型、三水鋁石 (Nordstrandite)型、勃姆石型等。非晶質之氫氧化鋁又如 鋁鹽、烷氧化鋁等水溶性鋁化合物之水溶液加水分解而得 的鋁加水分解物。 本發明所使用的銘源粉末可僅爲1種或2種以上倂 用。 上述之鋁源粉末中又以使用氧化鋁粉末爲佳,更佳爲 α型之氧化鋁粉末。該鋁源粉末可含有來自其原料或製造 過程中無法避免含有的微量成份。 本發明所使用的鋁源粉末爲,符合下述式(1)之鋁源 粉末。 (D9 0/D1 0) 1/2^2 (1) 上述式(1)中,D90爲相當於體積基準之累積百分率 90%的粒徑,D10爲相當於體積基準之累積百分率10%的 粒徑,此等係由利用雷射繞射法測定之粒度分布求取。 上述式(1)之D90/D10較大時,表示所使用的鋁源粉 末之粒徑範圍較廣。使用(D90/D 10)1/2爲2以上之具有較 廣幅粒徑範圍的鋁源粉末時,可提升供給燒成用之原料混 合物成形體中原料粉末之塡充性,因此可得細緻而機械強 度較高之燒成體。又使用符合上述鋁源粉末也可提升耐熱 分解性。 使用符合上述式(1)之鋁源粉末時,藉由燒成原料混 -10- 201038506 合物之成形體進行鈦酸鋁化反應過程中,會因鋁源粉末之 粒子係以圍繞鈦源粉末之粒子的方式存在,而使原料粉末 之粒子增大而不會移動,故可快速進行該反應,因此可得 強度(例如彎曲強度等)較高之燒成體。又具有良好細孔特 性,故可得細緻燒成體,因此所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體的熱 膨脹係數較小。 上述式(1)中(D90/D10)1/2較佳爲2.5以上,又以4以 〇 下爲佳。(D90/D 10)1/2超過4時,傾向降低燒成體提升機 械強度(彎曲強度)之效果。推斷其因爲,會降低成形體中 原料粉末之塡充性,而不易進行鈦酸鋁化反應。 本發明所使用的鋁源粉末符合上述式(1)之範圍時可 爲具有單樣式粒徑分布,或雙樣式粒徑分布,或具有3個 以上粒徑峰之物。 符合上述式(1)之鋁源粉末的調製方法並無特別限 制,可以例如下述方法調製該類鋁源粉末。(a)混合具有 Ο 不同粒徑分布之鋁源粉末的方法。例如混合D 5 0爲0.5至 ΙΟμιη之鋁源粉末,及D50爲10至60μιη之鋁源粉末的方 法。 (b) 將粒徑較大之鋁源粉末粉碎一定時間的方法。例 如將D5〇爲15至75 μιη之鋁源粉末碎解一定時間的方 法。 (c) 將藉由燒成而導入氧化鋁之鋁源粉末燒成一定時 間的方法。例如將氫氧化鋁粉末燒成一定時間之方法,又 藉由燒成而導入氧化鋁之鋁源粉末(例如氫氧化鋁粉末)的 -11 - 201038506 D50較佳爲5至60μιη。 (d) 以一定條件將粒徑較小之鋁源粉末造粒的方法。 (e) 利用共沈法製造符合上述式(1)之鋁源粉末的方 法。 銘源粉未之D5〇較佳爲5至35μπι,更佳爲1〇至 30μιη。使用具有該粒徑範圍之鋁源粉末時,可更有效提 升燒成體之機械強度。 上述原料混合物所含的鈦源粉末爲,作爲構成鈦酸銘 系燒成體之鈦成份用的物質粉末,該物質如氧化鈦之粉 末。氧化鈦如’氧化鈦(IV)、氧化鈦(ΙΠ)、氧化鈦(11) 等,較佳爲使用氧化鈦(IV)。氧化鈦(IV)可爲結晶性,或 不定形(非晶質)。氧化鈦(IV)爲結晶性時,其結晶型可爲 錐型、金紅石型、板欽礦型等,較佳爲錐型、金紅石型之 氧化鈦(IV)。 本發明所使用的鈦源粉末可爲,空氣中藉由燒成而導 入氧化鈦之物質粉末。該物質如,鈦鹽、烷氧化鈦、氬氧 化鈦、氮化鈦、硫化鈦、鈦等。 鈦鹽之具體例如’三氯化鈦、四氯化鈦、硫化鈦 (IV)、硫化鈦(VI)、硫酸鈦(IV )等。烷氧化鈦之具體例 如,乙氧化鈦(IV)、甲氧化欽(IV)、t -丁氧化欽(ιν)、異 丁氧化欽(IV)、η -丙氧化欽(IV)、四異丙氧化欽(〗V)及此 等之螯合化合物等。 本發明所使用的欽源粉末可僅爲1種或2種以上f幷 用。 -12- 201038506 上述鈦源粉末中又以使用氧化鈦粉末爲佳,更佳爲氧 化鈦(IV)粉末。又鈦源粉末可含有來自其原料或製造過程 中無可避免含有之微量成份。 鈦源粉末之粒徑並無特別限制,一般係使用D 5 0爲 0.5至35μιη之粉末。爲了得到具有優良耐熱分解性及機 械強度(彎曲強度)之鈦酸鋁系燒成體,較佳爲使用D50爲 1至25μπι之鈦源粉末。又鈦源粉末之粒度分布可爲雙樣 Ο 式’其爲雙樣式時,粒徑較大之峰的粒徑較佳爲20至 3 5 μ m ° 本發明之上述原料混合物中鋁源粉末之莫耳量與鈦源 粉末之莫耳量的比(鋁源粉末之莫耳量/鈦源粉末之莫耳量) 較佳爲3 5/6 5至45/55,更佳爲40/60至45/5 5。使用該範 圍內之鈦源粉末時,可降低原料混合物之成形體的燒成收 縮率(燒成時成形體的收縮率)。 又’上述原料混合物可含有鎂源粉末。原料混合物含 〇 w 有鎂源粉末時,所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體爲,由鈦酸鋁鎂結 晶形成之燒成體。鎂源粉末除了氧化鎂粉末外,可爲空氣 中燒成而導入氧化鎂之物質粉末。後者如,鎂鹽、烷氧化 鎂、氫氧化鎂、氮化鎂、鎂等。 鎂鹽之具體例如,氯化鎂、高氮酸鎂、磷酸鎂、焦磷 酸鎂、草酸鎂、硝酸鎂、碳酸鎂、乙酸鎂、硫酸鎂、檸檬 酸、乳酸鎂、硬脂酸鎂、水楊酸鎂、肉豆蔻酸鎂、葡糖酸 鎂、二甲基丙烯酸鎂、苯甲酸鎂等。 烷氧化鎂之具體例如,甲氧化鎂、乙氧化鎂等。又鎂 -13- 201038506 源粉末可含有來自其原料或製造過程中無可避免含有之微 量成份。 所使用的鎂源粉末可爲,兼具鎂源及鋁源之物質粉 末。該類物質如氧化鎂尖晶石(MgA1204)。所使用的鎂源 粉末爲兼具鎂源及銘源之物質粉末時,係將原料混合物中 鋁源粉末之Ai2o3換算莫耳量,以及兼具鎂源及鋁源之物 質粉末所含的A1成份之A1203換算莫耳量的合計値,與 鈦源粉末之Ti02換算莫耳量的比調整爲上述範圍內。 本發明所使用的鎂源粉末可僅爲1種或2種以上倂 用。 鎂源粉末之粒徑並無特別限定,一般係使用D50爲 0.5至30μηι之粉末,又爲了得到優良耐熱分解性及機械 強度之鈦酸鋁系燒成體,較佳爲使用D50爲3至25μιη之 鎂源粉末。 原料混合物中之鎂源粉末之含量(莫耳量)相對於鋁源 粉末之莫耳量與鈦源粉末之莫耳量的合計,莫耳量之比較 佳爲0.03至0.15,更佳爲0.03至0.12。將鎂源粉末之含 量調整爲該範圍內時,可進一步提升鈦酸鋁系燒成體之耐 熱分解性。 又,上述原料混合物可另含有矽源粉末。矽源粉末 爲,鈦酸鋁系燒成體所含的矽成份用之物質粉末,倂用矽 源粉末時可得進一步提升耐熱分解性之鈦酸鋁系燒成體。 石夕源粉末如二氧化砂、一氧化砂等氧化砂(二氧化砍)粉 末。 -14 - 201038506 又’砂源粉末可爲空氣中燒成而導入二氧化砂之物質 粉末。該物質如’矽酸、碳北矽、氮化矽'硫化砍、四氯 化矽、乙酸矽、矽酸鈉、原矽酸鈉、長石、玻璃料等。其 中就工業上易取得性又以使用長石、玻璃料等爲佳。就組 成安定性更佳爲使用玻璃料等。又玻璃料係指粉碎玻璃而 得之片狀或粉末狀玻璃。所使用的矽源粉末較佳可爲長石 及玻璃料之混合物形成的粉末。 Ο 使用玻璃料時,就進一步提升所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體 之耐熱分解性觀點,又以使用屈伏點爲700。(:以上之物爲 佳。本發明之玻璃料的屈伏點可使用熱機械分析裝置 (TMA: Thermo Mechanical Analysis)測定,玻璃料之屈伏 點係以玻璃料升溫過程中,停止膨脹後開始收縮之溫度 (°C )定義。 構成上述玻璃料之玻璃可爲,主成份爲矽酸[Si〇2](全 成份中超過5〇質量%)之一般的矽酸玻璃。構成玻璃料之 〇 玻璃中除了矽酸成份外’可含有同一般矽酸玻璃之氧化鋁 [Al2〇3]、氧化鈉[Na20]、氧化鉀[K20]、氧化鈣[CaO]、氧 化鎂[MgO]等。又構成玻璃料之玻璃爲了提升玻璃本身的 耐熱水性,可含有Zr02。 本發明所使用的矽源粉末可僅爲1種或2種以上倂 用。 矽源粉末之粒徑並無特別限定,一般係使用D 5 0爲 0.5至3 Ομιη之物’爲了進一步提升原料混合物之成形體 的塡充率較佳爲使用D5〇爲1至20μιη之矽源粉末。 -15- 201038506 原料混合物含有矽源粉末時,原料混合物中相對以 ΑΙΑ換算下鋁源粉末之莫耳量與以Ti〇2換算下鈦源粉末 之莫耳量的合計,以si〇2換算之矽源粉末之莫耳量的比 較佳爲約0.0011至約〇.123,更佳爲0.073以下。又矽源 粉末可含有來自其原料或製造過程中無可避免含有的微量 成份。 又本發明中,上述氧化鎂尖晶石(MgAl204)般複合酸 化合物’可以鈦、鋁、矽及鎂中2種以上之金屬元素爲成 份物質作爲原料粉末用。推斷此時之該類物質可與混合各 金屬源物質而得之原料混合物等價。基於該推斷係將原料 混合物中鋁源原料、鈦源原料、鎂源原料及矽源原料之含 量調整爲上述範圍內。 又’原料混合物可含有鈦酸鋁及鈦酸鋁鎂本身,例如 以鈦酸鋁鎂作爲原料混合物之構成成份用時,該鈦酸鋁鎂 爲兼具鈦源、鋁源及鎂源之原料。 本發明可爲使含有上述鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末以及任意 使用之鎂源粉末及矽源粉末的原料混合物成形而得成形體 後’藉由燒成成形體而得鈦酸鋁系燒成體。比較直接燒成 原料混合物時,藉由成形後燒成可抑制燒成中的收縮情 形。因此可有效抑制所得鈦酸鋁系燒成體裂開。又藉由燒 成可維持所生成多孔質性鈦酸鋁結晶之細孔形狀。成形體 之形狀並無特別限制,例如蜂窩形狀、棒狀、管狀、板 狀、坩堝形狀等。 原料混合物成形用之成形機如,單軸加壓、擠壓成形 -16- 201038506 機、打錠機、造粒機等。進行擠壓成形時,原 添加例如造孔劑、钠合劑、潤滑劑、可塑劑、 劑等添加劑成形。 上述造孔劑如,石墨等碳材料;聚乙烯、 本乙烯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯等樹脂類;澱粉、 桃殼、玉米等植物系材料;冰;乾冰等。造孔 相對於纟g'源粉末' it源粉末、鎂源粉末及矽源 Ο 100質量份,一般爲0至40質量份,較佳爲 份。又造孔劑可含有來自其原料或製造過程中 有的微量成份。 上述黏合劑如’甲基纖維素、殘基甲基纖 基甲基纖維素等纖維素類;聚乙稀醇等醇類; 鹽等鹽;石蠟、微晶蠟等蠟;EVA、聚乙稀、 液晶聚合物、工程塑料等熱可塑性樹脂等。黏 量相對於鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、鎂源粉末及砂 Ο 計100質量份,一般爲2質量份以上20質量 佳爲4質量份以上1 5質量份以下。又黏合劑 其原料或製造過程中無可避免含有的微量成份 上述潤滑劑及可塑劑如,甘油等醇類; 酸、棕櫚酸、花生酸、油酸、硬脂酸等高級脂 酸鋁等硬脂酸金屬鹽等。潤滑劑及可塑劑之添 鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、鎂源粉末及矽源粉末之 量份,一般爲〇至1〇質量份’較佳爲1至5 潤滑劑及可塑劑可含有來自其原料或製造過程 :料混合物可 分散劑及溶 聚丙烯、聚 花生殻、核 ,劑之添加量 :粉末之合計 〇至25質量 無可避免含 i維素、鈉羧 木質素磺酸 聚苯乙烯、 合劑之添加 '源粉末之合 :份以下,較 丨可含有來自 〇 癸酸、月桂 ί肪酸;硬脂 :加量相對於 合計100質 質量份。又 :中無可避免 -17- 201038506 含有的微量成份。 上述分散劑如,硝酸、鹽酸、硫酸等無機酸;草酸、 檸檬酸、乙酸、蘋果酸、乳酸等有機酸;甲醇、乙醇、丙 醇等醇類;聚羧酸銨、聚氧化烯烴烷醚等表面活性劑等。 分散劑之添加量相對於鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、鎂源粉末及 矽源粉末之合計100質量份。一般爲〇至20質量份,較 佳爲2至8質量份。又分散劑可含有來自其原料或製造過 程中無可避免含有的微量成份。 又,上述溶劑可使用單醇類(甲醇、乙醇、丁醇、丙 醇等)、二元醇類(丙二醇、聚丙二醇、乙二醇等)等醇 類,及水等。其中就不純物較少之觀點較佳爲水,更佳爲 離子交換水。溶劑之使用量相對於鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、 鎂源粉末及矽源粉末之合計100質量份,一般爲10至 1〇〇質量份,較佳爲20至80質量份。 供給成形用之原料混合物可由,混合(混練)上述鋁源 粉末、鈦源粉末以及任意使用之鎂源粉末、矽源粉末及上 述各種添加劑而得。 燒成成形體之燒成溫度一般爲1 3 0 0 °C以上,較佳 l4〇〇°C以上。又燒成溫度一般爲1 6 50 °C以下,較佳爲 1 5 5〇°C以下。到達燒成溫度之升溫速度及升溫圖型並無特 別限定,一般升溫速度爲1 °C /小時至50(TC /小時。使用矽 源粉末時,燒成步驟前較佳爲設有1 1 00至1 300°C之溫度 範圍內保持3小時以上的步驟(擴散步驟)。該步驟可促進 矽源粉末熔化及擴散。原料混合物含有黏合劑等添加燃燒 -18- 201038506 性有機物時,燒成過程中係包含去除該物用之脫脂步驟。 典型的脫脂係於到達燒成溫度之升溫階段(例如1 50至 5 0 0 °C )進行。脫脂步驟較佳爲極力抑制升溫速度,又以 300°C/小時以下爲佳,更佳爲l〇〇°C/小時以下。 燒成一般係於大氣中進行,另可依所使用的原料粉末 (即鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、鎂源粉末及矽源粉末)之種類及 使用量比,而於氮氣、氣氣等不活性氣體中燒成,或於一 〇 氧化碳氣體、氫氣等還原性氣體中燒成。又可於降低水蒸 氣分壓之環境中進行燒成。 燒成一般係使用管狀電爐、箱型電爐、墜道爐、遠紅 外線爐、微波加熱爐、軸爐、反射爐、回轉爐、滾筒室爐 等一般燒成爐進行。燒成可以分批式進行,或連續式進 行。又可以靜置式進行,或流動式進行。 燒所需要的時間可爲,原料混合物之成形體能充分遷 移至鈦酸鋁系結晶之時間,又會因原料混合物量,燒成爐 ^ 之形式、燒成溫度、燒成環境等而異,一般爲10分鐘至 2 4小時。 由上述可得目的之鈦酸鋁系燒成體。該鈦酸鋁系燒成 體具有幾乎可維持成形後成形體之形狀的形狀。所得的鈦 酸鋁系燒成物可藉由硏削加工等,加工爲所希望之形狀。 由本發明之方法而得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體於X線繞射 光譜中,除了鈦酸鋁或鈦酸鋁鎂之結晶圖型外,可含有氧 化鋁、二氧化鈦等之結晶圖型。又由本發明之方法而得的 鈦酸鋁系燒成體係由鈦酸鋁鎂結晶形成時,可以組成式: -19- 201038506
Al2(i-x)MgxTi(i+x>〇5表示’其中x之値爲0.03以上,較佳 爲0.03以上0.15以下,更佳爲〇·〇3以上0.12以下。 【實施方式】 實施例 下面將舉實施例更詳細說明本發明,但本發明非限定 於此等。又各實施例及比較例中鈦酸鋁系燒成體之鈦酸鋁 化率(AT化率)、耐熱分解率、三點彎曲強度、熱膨脹係 數、開氣孔率,及所使用的原料粉末之粒度分布係以下述 方法測定。 (1) AT化率 鈦酸鋁化率(AT化率)爲,由粉末X線繞射光譜中出 現於2Θ =2 7.4°位置之峰[歸屬於二氧化鈦-金紅石相(110) 面]的積分強度(It)’及出現於2β =33.7。位置之峰[歸屬於 鈦酸銘鎂相(23〇)面]的積分強度(ΙΑΤ),以下述式算出。AT 化率=IAT/(IT + IAT)xlOO(%) (2 )耐熱分解率 由所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體切取約4mm>〇K 5 0mm之試驗片。其次相對於該試驗片實施,以3 00它/h之 升溫速度升溫至1 1 〇 〇 C ’同溫度下保持4 8小時後,以3 0 〇 °C /h之降溫速度冷卻至室溫的熱處理。以上述方法測定進 行該熱處理前的AT化率RQ(T)及熱處理後之at化率 R(%) ’作爲熱處理後燒成體中的鈦鋁鎂結晶之減少率,接 著基於下述式求取耐熱分解率。 -20- 201038506 耐熱分解率(%) = (11/11。)><1〇〇 (3) 三點彎曲強度 由鈦酸鋁系燒成體沿原料混合物擠壓成形時之擠壓方 向切取長約5〇mm、寛約5mm及原約5mm的長方體形狀 後,使用紙銼刀(#1 500)將該切取之燒成體表層硏磨至無 凹凸狀。其次依據JIS R 1601之方法測定所得樣品的三點 〇 彎曲強度。 (4) 熱膨脹係數 由欽酸銘系燒成體切取約4mmx約4mmx約10mm試驗 片後,相對於該試驗片實施,以20CTC /h之升溫速度升溫至 1 000°C後直接冷卻至室溫(25°C )的熱處理。使用熱機械式分 析裝置(SII科學(股)製TMA63 00)求取實施熱處理後之試驗 片,以600°C/h之速度由25°C升溫至l〇〇〇°C時試驗片的膨 脹率,其後基於下述式算出熱膨脹係數[K·1]。 〇 熱膨脹係數試驗片之膨脹率/975 [K] 該試驗片之膨脹率係指, (升溫至l〇〇〇°C時之試驗片體積-升溫前(25°C )之試驗 片體積)/(升溫前(25°C)之試驗片體積) (5) 開氣孔率 依據JIS R1634,利用藉由水中浸漬之阿基米德法測 定燒成體之水中重量M2(g)、飽水重量M3(g)及乾燥重量 -21 - 201038506 Μ 1 (g),再以下述式算出開氣孔率。 開氣孔率(%)=100χ(Μ3-Μ1)/(Μ3-Μ2) (6)原料粉末之粒度分布 使用雷射繞射式粒度分布測定裝置[臼機裝公司製 「Microtrac HRA(X-IOO)」]測定原料粉末之粒徑分布, DIO、D50 及 D90。 〈實施例1 > 所使用的原料粉末如下所述。下述原料粉末之添加組 成爲’氧化錯[A】2〇3]、二氧化欽[Ti〇2]、氧化鎂[MgO]及 二氧化矽[Si02]換算下之莫耳比[Al203]/[Ti02]/[MgO]/ [SiO2] = 34.3%/5 0.2%/9.4%/6.1 %。 (υ鋁源粉末 具有下述表1及圖1所示之粒徑分布的氧化鋁粉末A (α -氧化鋁粉末) 29質量份 (2) 鈦源粉末 D50爲1 ·0μιη之氧化鈦粉末(金紅石型結晶)49質量份 (3) 鎂源粉末 D50爲5.5μιη之鎂尖晶石粉末 18質量份 (4) 矽源粉末 D50爲8·5μηι之玻璃料(達卡拉公司製「CK0832」) 4質量份 -22- 201038506 由上述鋁源粉末、鈦源粉末、鎂源粉末及矽源粉末形 成的混合物中,相對於混合物1 0 0質量份添加黏合劑用之 甲基纖維素5.8質量份、表面活性劑用之聚氧化烯烴烷醚 5.8質量份、潤滑劑用之甘油〇 . 5質量份及硬脂酸1 · 5質 量份後,加入分散劑用之水3 0質量份’再使用混練機混 練,調製坏土(成形用原料混合物)。其次將該坏土擠壓成 形,製作蜂窩形狀之成形體,大氣環境下對所得的成形體 〇 進行包含去除黏合劑之假燒(脫脂)步驟的燒成步驟’得蜂 窩形狀之多孔質燒成體(蜂窩構造體)。燒成時之最高溫度 爲1 4 5 0 °c,最高溫度下之保持時間爲5小時。 乳鉢中粉碎所得的多孔質燒成體後,利用粉末X線 繞射法測定所得粉末之繞射光譜,結果該粉末具有鈦酸鋁 鎂之結晶峰。求取該粉末之AT化率,結果爲100%。所 使用的氧化鋁粉末A之粒徑分布如表1及圖1所示。又所 得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體之耐熱分解率、三點彎曲強度、熱膨 Ο 脹係數及開氣孔率如表2所示。 <實施例2 > 除了使用下述原料粉末外,同實施例1得蜂窩形狀之 多孔質燒成體。下述原料粉末之添加組成同實施例1爲,氧 化鋁[Al2〇3]、二氧化鈦[Ti02]、氧化鎂[MgO]及二氧化矽 [Si04]、換算下之比[Al203]/[Ti02]/[Mg0]/[Si02] = 34.3%/50.2%/9.4%/6.1%。 (1)鋁源粉末 -23 - 201038506 具有下述表1及圖1所示之粒徑分布的氧化鋁粉末 Β(α·氧化銘粉末) 29質量份 (2 )鈦源粉末 D50爲1.〇μιη之氧化鈦粉末(金紅石型結晶)49質量份 (3 )錶源粉末 D50爲5·5μιη之鎂尖晶石粉末 質量份 (4)矽源粉末 D50爲8.5μιη之玻璃料(達卡拉公司製「CK0832」) 4質量份 乳鉢中粉碎所得的多孔質燒成體後,利用粉末X線 繞射法測定所得粉末之繞射光譜,結果該粉末及具有鈦酸 鋁鎂之結晶峰。求取該粉末之AT化率,結果爲1 00%。 所使用的氧化鋁粉末B之粒徑分布特性如表1及圖1所 示。又所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體之耐熱分解率、三點彎曲強 度、熱膨脹係數及開氣孔率如表2所示。 <比較例1 > 除了使用下述原料粉末外,同實施例1得蜂窩形狀之 多孔質燒成體。下述原料粉末之添加組成同實施例1爲’ 氧化鋁[Al2〇3]、二氧化鈦[Ti〇2]、氧化鎂[MgO]及二氧化矽 [Si〇4]換算下之莫耳比[Al203]/[Ti02]/[Mg0]/[Si02] = 34·3%/50.2%/9·4%/6.1 %。 (1)鋁源粉末 具有下述表1及圖1所示之粒徑分布的氧化銘粉末 -24- 201038506 C(〇:-氧化銘粉末) 29暫量份 (2) 鈦源粉末 D50爲1·〇μιη之氧化鈦粉末(金紅石型結晶)49質量份 (3) 鎂源粉末 D50爲5.5μηι之鎂尖晶石粉末 18質量份 (4) 矽源粉末 D50爲8.5μηι之玻璃料(達卡拉公司製「CK0832」) Ο 4質量份 乳鉢中粉碎所得的多孔質燒成體後,利用粉末X線 繞射法測定所得粉末之繞射光譜,結果該粉末具有鈦酸鋁 鎂之結晶峰。求取該粉末之AT化率,結果爲1 〇〇%。所 使用的氧化鋁粉末C之粒徑分布特性如表1及圖1所示。 又所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體之耐熱分解率、三點彎曲強度、 熱膨脹係數及開氣孔率。 [表1] 氧化鋁粉末 D50 D10 D90 (D90/D10)1’2 (μιη) (μιη) .(μηι) A 16.0 5.1 49.5 3.10 B 11.4 4.1 30.9 2.76 C 42.2 25.1 63.4 1.59 [表2] 耐熱分解率 三點彎曲強度 熱膨脹係數 開氣孔率 (%) (MPa) (χΙΟ^Κ'1) (%) 實施例1 100 4.23 0.89 35.1 實施例2 100 4.07 0.58 34.4 比較例1 100 3.43 0.75 36.5 -25- 201038506 此次所揭示的實施形態及實施例均爲例示,並無P艮 制。本發明之範圍除了上述說明內容可包含如申請專利範 圍所示,均等於申請專利範圍之含義及範圍內作適當變更。 產業上利用可能性 本發明所得的鈦酸鋁系燒成體適用於,例如坩堝、耐 火架子、乳鉢、爐材等燒成爐用器具;柴油機、汽油機等內 燃機關之排氣氣體淨化用的排氣過濾器或排氣轉換器、觸媒 載體、啤酒等飮用物過濾用之過濾器、精製石油時選擇性使 所生成之氣體成份,例如一氧化碳、二氧化碳、氮、氧等透 過用之選擇透過濾器等陶瓷濾器;基板、電容器等電子構件 等。其中使用於陶瓷濾器等時,因本發明之鈦酸鋁等燒成 體具有優良耐熱分解性及機械強度(彎曲強度),又具有優良 低熱膨脹性,故可維持長期的良好過濾性能。 【圖式簡單說明】 圖1爲,實施例1、實施例2及比較例1所使用的氧 化鋁粉末A至C之粒徑分布曲線圖。 -26-
Claims (1)
- 201038506 七、申請專利範圍 1· 一種鈦酸鋁系燒成體之製造方法,其係具備將含 有鋁源粉末及鈦源粉末之原料混合物的成形體進行燒成的 步驟’前述鋁源粉末符合下述式(1), (D9 O/D 1 0) ,/2έ2 (1) (式中,D90爲相當於體積基準之累積百分率90%的 粒徑’ D10爲相當於體積基準之累積百分率10%的粒徑, 此等係由利用雷射繞射法所測定之鋁源粉末的粒度分布求 得)。 2.如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中前述原料混 合物中,以 ai2o3換算的前述鋁源粉末之莫耳量與以 Ti〇2換算的前述鈦源粉末之莫耳量的比(鋁源粉末之莫耳 量/鈦源粉末之莫耳量)爲35/65至45/55。 3 .如申請專利範圍第1或2項之方法,其中前述鈦 源粉末之相當於體積基準之累積百分率50%的粒徑爲0.5 至 3 5 μ m。 4. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中前述原料混 合物再含有鎂源粉末, 相對於以Al2〇3換算的前述鋁源粉末之莫耳量與以Ti〇2 換算的前述鈦源粉末之莫耳量的合計,以Mg〇換算的前 述鎂源粉末之莫耳量的比爲0·03至0·15° 5. 如申請專利範圍第4項之方法’其中前述鎂源粉 末相當於體積基準之累積百分率50%的粒徑爲0.5至 3 0 μπι -27- 201038506 6. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中前述原料混 合物再含有矽源粉末。 7. 如申請專利範圍第6項之方法,其中前述矽源粉 末爲長石或玻璃料’或此等之混合物。 8. 如申請專利範圍第6或7項之方法,其中相對於 以ai2o3換算的鋁源粉末之莫耳量與以Ti〇2換算的鈦源 粉末之莫耳量的合計’以Si〇2換算的矽源粉末之莫耳量 的比爲0.0011至0·123。 9. 如申請專利範圍第6項之方法,其中前述矽源粉 末之相當於體積基準之累積百分率5 0 %的粒徑爲0.5至 3 0 μ m 〇 ίο.如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中前述成形體 爲蜂窩形狀。 11 ·如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中前述燒成溫 度爲1300至1650 °C ’燒成時間爲1〇分鐘至24小時。 -28-
