The industrial design covers an original set of upholstered furniture for sitting and lying, distinguished by its proportions. Well-known and commonly manufactured furniture sets most often consist of at least one upholstered sofa with armrests, and at least one, and usually two, upholstered armchairs. Two-seater upholstered sofas in known sets most often consist of two upholstered seat and back cushions, built around a rigid frame with several layers of various flexible upholstery materials applied to it and finished with an outer covering of decorative textile upholstery material in various colors and surface textures. The armchair included in the set is characterized by the following essential features of industrial design: It consists of a flat, rectangular seat, roughly square in proportion, and a backrest of similar proportions, fixedly connected and covered with decorative upholstery fabric. The seat and backrest are connected by two identical, mirror-image rectangular armrest panels. These are equipped with short front and rear legs, located underneath in the corners of the armrest panels. The front and rear legs are shaped like regular truncated prisms with rectangular bases. The armrest boards themselves are covered on both sides with decorative upholstery fabric, identical to the fabric covering the seat and backrest.
