Abstract
La invencion proporciona una molecula de acido nucleico recombinante que comprende un promotor heterologo operativamente unido a un segmento de polinucleotido que codifica una proteina pesticida o un fragmento pesticida de la misma, en donde, dicha proteina pesticida comprende la secuencia de aminoacidos de SEQ ID NO: 2 o SEQ ID NO: 4, o por lo menos el 88 % de identidad de la citada secuencia SEQ ID NO: 2 o SEQ ID NO: 4 o dicho segmento de polinucleotido se hibrida en condiciones rigurosas de hibridacion con un polinucleotido que tiene la secuencia de nucleotidos de SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 5 o SEQ ID NO: 6. Dicha molecula de acido nucleico codifica las proteinas pesticidas TIC13085 y TIC13087 que exhiben actividad toxica contra especies de plagas de lepidopteros. Tambien proporciona metodos para detectar la presencia de secuencias de acidos nucleicos recombinantes o las proteinas de la presente invencion en una muestra biologica, y metodos para controlar plagas de especies de lepidopteros usando cualquiera de las proteinas pesticidas TIC13085 y TIC13087.
