Abstract
Se divulgan proteínas insecticidas que son activas contra al menos una plaga de insectos lepidópteros. El ADN que codifica las proteínas insecticidas se puede utilizar para transformar organismos procariotas y eucariotas con el fin de que expresen las proteínas insecticidas. Estos organismos recombinantes se pueden utilizar para controlar al menos plagas de insectos lepidópteros en diversos entornos. Reivindicación 1: Un gen quimérico que comprende un promotor heterólogo ligado operablemente a una molécula de ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica una proteína tóxica para al menos una plaga de insectos lepidópteros, donde la secuencia de nucleótidos (a) tiene de al menos un 80% a al menos un 99% de identidad secuencial con cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 1 - 3; o (b) codifica una proteína que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que tiene de al menos un 80% a al menos un 99% de identidad secuencial con cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 10 - 12; o (c) es una secuencia sintética de (a) o (b) que tiene codones optimizados para la expresión en un organismo transgénico.
