Abstract
Se proporcionan ácidos nucleicos, polipéptidos plantas transgénicas, composiciones y métodos para conferir actividad pesticida (por ejemplo, actividad insecticida) a bacterias, plantas, células vegetales, tejidos y semillas. Los ácidos nucleicos que codifican las proteínas insecticidas se pueden utilizar para transformar organismos procariotas y eucariotas con el fin de que expresen las proteínas insecticidas. Reivindicación 1: Una proteína insecticida quimérica que es tóxica para una plaga de insectos lepidópteros que comprende en una dirección N-terminal a C-terminal: (a) una región N-terminal de una primera proteína Cry, que es una región N-terminal de una proteína BT-0029 de la SEQ ID Nº 2 o una secuencia de aminoácidos que es idéntica a esta en al menos un 90%, fusionada a (b) una región C-terminal de una proteína Cry1 diferente donde la posición de cruzamiento entre la primera proteína Cry1 y la proteína Cry1 diferente está ubicada en el bloque conservado 3.
