Abstract
En la presente se describen secuencias de nucleótidos que codifican una proteína insecticida que presenta una actividad inhibidora sobre los lepidópteros, así como también proteínas insecticidas a las que se hace referencia en la presente como BCW 001, BCW 002, BCW 003, y quimeras que contienen proteína tóxica BCW e insecticida toxinas BCW, y métodos para detectar la presencia de las secuencias de nucleótidos o el insecticida en una muestra biológica. Reivindicación 1: Un constructo polinucleotídico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica: (a) una proteína insecticida que tiene la secuencia de aminoácidos que comprende los aminoácidos 1 a 607 de una secuencia seleccionada del grupo que consiste en la SEQ ID Nº 2, SEQ ID Nº 4, SEQ ID Nº 6, SEQ ID Nº 8, SEQ ID Nº 10, y SEQ ID Nº 12, o uno de sus fragmentos insecticidas; (b) un fragmento polipeptídico que presenta al menos un 95% de identidad con respecto a la secuencia de aminoácidos de (a); (c) un fragmento polipeptídico que presenta al menos un 84% de identidad con respecto a la secuencia de aminoácidos de (a); (d) un fragmento polipeptídico que presenta al menos un 64% de identidad con respecto a la secuencia de aminoácidos de (a); o (e) una proteína insecticida que tiene la secuencia de aminoácidos de la posición 7 a 607 como se indica en cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 ó 12, en donde dicha secuencia de nucleótidos está operativamente unida a una secuencia promotora heteróloga.
