Se refiere a derivados de imidazolilmetilo 5-sustituidos con formula I, donde R1 es un hidrogeno, alquilo C1-C8, alcoxi C1-C4, entre otros; R2 es un Hidrogeno, -C(O)-alquilo C1-C8, alquilo C1-C8, entre otros; R3 es halogeno, hidroxilo, ciano, entre otros; R4 es hidrogeno, fluor, alquilo C1-C8, entre otros; R5 es un hidrogeno, fluor, alquilo C1-C8, entre otros y Q es un ciclo aromatico de 6 miembros. Son compuestos preferidos: I-27, I-29, entre otros. Ademas son utiles como reguladores del crecimiento de plantas.
