Abstract
Det er beskrevet en stikkontakt for å terminere optisk fiber ved en aktiv anordning slik som en fotodetektor eller faststoff-lyskilde. Stikkontakten innbefatter en husdel, en termineringsfikstur og en aktiv anordning. Husdelen har en åpning for å motta endepartiet til en optisk fiber, en dør som befinner seg ved åpningen og som er forspent til en lukket posisjon og som har en lås for utløsbart å motta en optisk fiberplugg, og en fjernbar plate som tillater tilgang til det indre av husdelen. Termineringsfiksturen og den aktive anordningen kan være montert på et felles substrat som er festet til et indre parti av husdelen. Termineringsfiksturen innbefatter en basis og et fremspring som er festet til basisdelen direkte eller umiddelbart nær et lystransmitterende parti av denne, og hvor fremspringet har et fiberopptagende spor som er rettet mot en fiberstoppoverflate som befinner seg på det lystransmitterende partiet av basisen. Basisen kan ha en linse som er integrert støpt med det lystransmitterende partiet. Den aktive anordningene er plassert i forhold til termineringsfiksturen at den kan motta lys fra og/eller sende lys til, enhver fiber hvis endeparti befinner seg i V-sporet og som butter mot fiberstoppren. Etter valg kan en optisk plate bli brukt til å justere de optisk egenskapene til termineringsfiksturen.
