Abstract

A multiple receptable pack (300) for terminating more than one optical fiber at individual active devices (210), such as photodetectors, or solid-state light sources. The pack (300) includes a housing (304), termination fixtures (110) and active devices (210). The housing (304) has openings (302) for receiving the terminal portions of more than one optical fiber and doors (306) located at the openings biased to closed positions and having latches (308) for releasably receiving optical fiber plugs (12) and a removable plate allowing access to an interior of the housing (304). The termination fixtures (110) and the active devices (210) may be mounted to individual substrates (208) attached to an interior portion of each of the multiple receptacles (302) of the housing.
