Abstract

Svovelholdig sinkkonsentrat inkluderer vanligvis også små mengder av sjeldne metaller, slik som indium og gallium. Hvis innholdet av disse metaller i råmaterialet er tilstrekkelig høyt, kan deres gjenvinning være økonomisk regningssvarende. I fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen finner gjenvinning av indium og andre ønskelige sjeldne metaller sted i en sinkutlutningsprosess, der minst deler av det svovelholdige konsentratet lutes ut direkte uten røsting.
