Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår et stabilisatorsystem for stabilisering av halogeninneholdende polymerer som innbefatter a) ett perkloratsalt og b) minst ett eller flere enaminer. Oppfinnelsen angår også en fremgangsmåte for å stabilisere klorinneholdende polymerer ved tilsetting av nevnte stabilisatorsystem. I tillegg angår oppfinnelsen produkter som innbefatter PVC som er blitt stabilisert med et stabilisatorsystem ifølge oppfinnelsen.
Description
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår stabiliseringssystemer som omfatter minst ett perkloratsalt og minst ett eller flere enaminer, som er egnet for å stabilisere halogeninneholdende polymerer.
En halogeninneholdende polymer, slik som PVC, kan stabiliseres ved en hvilken som helst av et stort antall additiver. Forbindelser av bly, av barium og av kadmium er særlig godt egnet for dette formålet, men er i dag kontroversielle på grunn av miljøproblemer eller fordi de har tungmetallinnhold (jfr. "Kunststoffadditive"[Plastics Additives], R. Gåchter og H. Muller, Carl Hanser Verlag, 3. utgave, 1989, s. 303-311 (se også 4. utgave 2001); og "Kunststoff Handbuch PVC" [Plastics Handbook PVC], Volum 2/1, W. Becker og D. Det er derfor et kontinuerlig behov for effektive stabilisatorer og stabilisatorsystemer som er uten bly, barium og kadmium.
Det er nå blitt funnet at systemet fremstilt fra minst ett eller flere enaminer og fra minst ett perkloratsalt, er særlig stabile for å stabilisere klorinneholdende polymerer, særlig
PVC.
Dette er overraskende siden blandingen fremstilt fra aminokrotonsyreestere og epoksyforbindelser fremviser "ikke-spesifikke" effekter. Dette fremgår for eksempel av tabell IB, fra hvilken det er klart at anvendelsen av den organiske stabilisatoren 2-fenylindol og fri radikalfangeren Wessalith (blanding 1/3) reduserer nivået av stabilisering til et uventet drastisk nivå sammenlignet med kun anvendelse av den organiske stabilisatoren (blanding 1/1), men anvendelsen av den organiske stabilisatoren og fri radikalfangeren kombinert med saltet natriumperklorat som stabilisator (blanding 1/4) resulterer i en overraskende synergistisk heving av stabiliteten.
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår et stabilisatorsystem for å stabilisere halogeninneholdende polymerer, kjennetegnet ved at det innbefatter minst
a) ett perkloratsalt og
b) minst ett eller flere enaminer,
hvor enaminene har formelen (I)

R<1> = H, Ci-C4-alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C6-Ci0-aryl, C7-Ci8-alkaryl eller

R<2> (for n = 1) = Ci-C22-alkyl, C2-C22-alkenyl eller aryl, foretrukket fenyl, hvis hensiktsmessig substituert med opp til 3 hydroksyl, C]-C4-alkoksy eller Ci-Cg-alkyl; eller
R<2> (for n = 2-6) = linear eller forgrenet Ci-22-alkylen, hvis hensiktsmessig avbrutt av ett eller flere O-atomer eller S-atomer, hvor R<2> (for n = 3) også kan være C2-C3-alkyltrisubstituert isocyanurat; og hvis X = NH kan R2 også være H.

Foretrukket er enaminer hvor R<1> = metyl eller fenyl.
Enaminer med generelle formel (I) kan fremstilles ved kjente fremgangsmåter, ved acylering og aminering av den korresponderende R<2->OH eller R<2->NH2-forbindelsen (se bl.a. DE-C 1 544 768).
Perkloratsaltene er kjente for fagmannen. Eksempler på disse er de med formel M(OC>4)n, hvor M er Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Al, La eller Ce; og n er 1, 2 eller 3, avhengig av valensen til M. Anvendelsen av disse perkloratsaltene kan gjøres i vanlige former, for eksempel som salt eller løsning i vann eller i et organisk løsemiddel, alene eller absorbert på et støttemateriale, slik som PVC, Ca-silikat, zeolitter eller hydrotalkitter. Eksempler på disse er perkloratsalter kompleksert eller løst ved anvendelse av alkoholer (polyoler, syklodekstriner) eller ved anvendelse av eteralkoholer eller ester-alkoholer eller kroneetere. EP 0 394 547, EP 0 457 471 og WO 94/24200 beskriver andre utførelsesformer.
Det er også foretrukket å anvende natriumperklorat eller kaliumperklorat.
Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer også kombinasjoner av stabilisatorsystemer som omfatter minst ett perkloratsalt og minst én forbindelse med generell formel (I) med minst én eller flere andre vanlige additiver eller stabilisatorer. Foretrukket er polyoler og/eller disakkaridalkoholer, glysidylforbindelser, hydrotalkitter, zeolitter (alkalimetall-aluminosilikater og jordalkalimetall-aluminosilikater), fyllstoffer, metallsåper, alkalimetall og jordalkalimetallforbindelser, slik som oksider og hydroksider, smøremidler, mykgjørere, fosfitter, pigmenter, epoksiderte fettestere og andre epoksyforbindelser, antioksidanter, UV-absorbenter og lysstabilisatorer, optiske lysmidler og blåsemidler. Særlig foretrukket er epoksiderte soyaoljer, jordalkalimetall eller aluminiumsåper og fosfitter.
Særlig foretrukket er de komponentene som er egnet for fremstilling av fysiologisk ikke-skadelige produkter.
Eksempler på ytterligere komponenter av denne typen er listet og forklart senere nedenfor (jfr. "Handbook of PVC Formulating" av E. J. Wickson, John Wiley & Sons, New York, 1993, og Synoptic Document Nr. 7, Scientific Committee for Food (SCF) - EU).
Polyoler og disakkaridalkoholer
Eksempler på mulige forbindelser av denne typen er:
glyserol, pentaerytritol, dipentaerytritol, tripentaerytritol, trimetyloletan, bis(trimetylolpropan), polyvinylalkohol, bis(trimetyloletan), trimetylolpropan, sukker, sukker-alkoholer. Av disse er pentaerytritol, trimetylolpropan, sorbitol og disakkaridalkoholene foretrukket, slike som Malbit, laktitol og cellobiitol og også Palatinit.
Det er også mulig å anvende polyolsiruper, slik som sorbitolsirup, mannitolsirup og maltitolsirup. Eksempler på mengdene av polyoler som anvendes, er fra 0,01 til 20 vektdeler, fordelaktig fra 0,1 til 20 vektdeler og særlig fra 0,1 til 10 vektdeler, basert på
100 vektdeler PVC.
Glysidylforbindelser
Disse inneholder glysidylgruppen
bundet direkte til karbon-, oksygen-, nitrogen- eller svovelatomer, enten hvor både Ri og R3 er hydrogen, R<2> er hydrogen eller metyl og n = 0 eller hvor Ri og R3 sammen er
-CH2-CH2- eller -CH2-CH2-CH2-, R2 er da hydrogen og n er 0 eller 1.
Det er foretrukket å anvende glysidylforbindelser som har funksjonelle grupper. Imidlertid er det også mulig i prinsippet å anvende glysidylforbindelser som har én, tre eller flere funksjonelle grupper.
Foretrukket anvendes diglysidylforbindelser som har aromatiske grupper.
Mengden som anvendes av terminale epoksyforbindelser, er foretrukket minst 0,1 del, foretrukket fra 0,1 til 50 deler i forhold til vekt, fordelaktig fra 1 til 30 deler i forhold til vekt og særlig fra 1 til 25 deler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
Hydrotalkitter
Den kjemiske sammensetningen av disse forbindelsene er kjent for fagmannen, for eksempel fra patentene DE 3 843 581, US 4 000 100, EP 0 062 813 og WO 93/20135.

Fyllstoffer
Fyllstoffer, slik som kalsiumkarbonat, dolomitt, wollastonitt, magnesiumoksid, magnesiumhydroksid, silikater, kinaleire, talkum, glassfiber, glassperler, trestøv, mica, metalloksider eller metallhydroksider, karbonsvart, grafitt, steinstøv, tung spat, glass-fibrer, talkum, kaolin og talkum, anvendes. Foretrukket er talkum (HANDBOOK OF PVC FORMULATING, E. J. Wickson, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1993, s. 393-449) og forsterkningsmidler [TASCHENBUCH der Kunststoffadditive (Plastics Additives Handbook), R. Gachter & H. Muller, Carl Hanser, 1990, s. 549-615].
Fyllstoffene kan anvendes i mengder som foretrukket er én vektdel på for eksempel 5 til 200 vektdeler, særlig 10 til 150 vektdeler og spesielt fra 15 til 100 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
MetaUsåper
Metallsåper er primært metallkarboksylater, foretrukket relativt langkjedede karboksylsyrer. Godt kjente eksempler på disse er stearater, oleater, palmitater, ricinolater, hydroksystearater, dihydroksystearater og laurater, og også oleater og salter av relativt kortkjedede alifatiske eller aromatiske karboksylsyrer, slik som eddiksyre, propionsyre, smørsyre, valerinsyre, heksansyre, sorbinsyre, oksalsyre, malonsyre, maleinsyre, antranilsyre, ravsyre, glutarsyre, adipinsyre, fumarsyre, sitronsyre, benzosyre, salisyl-syre, ftalsyrer, hemimellittsyre, trimellittsyre, pyromellittsyre.
Metaller som bør nevnes er: Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Al, La, Ce og sjeldne jord-metaller. Ofte blir det anvendt såkalte synergistiske blandinger, slike som barium/sink-stabilisatorer, magnesium/sinkstabilisatorer, kalsium/sinkstabilisatorer eller kalsium/- magnesium/sinkstabilisatorer. Metallsåpene kan enten anvendes alene eller i blandinger. En oversikt over vanlige metallsåper finnes i "Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry", 5. utg., Vol. A16 (1985), s. 361 et seq.
Metallsåpene eller blandingene av disse kan anvendes i mengder for eksempel på 0,001 til 10 vektdeler, særlig 0,01 til 8 vektdeler, spesielt foretrukket 0,05 til 5 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
Alkalimetall og jordalkalimetallforbindelser
For formålet ifølge oppfinnelsen er disse først og fremst karboksylater av syrer beskrevet ovenfor, men også korresponderende oksider eller, respektivt, hydroksider eller karbonater. Blandinger av disse med organiske syrer er også mulig. Eksempler er LiOH, NaOH, KOH, CaO, Ca(OH)2, MgO, Mg(OH)2, Sr(OH)2, Al(OH)3, CaC03 og MgC03 (og også basiske karbonater, slik som magnesia alba og huntitt), og også fettsyresalter av Na og av K. I tilfellet jordalkalikarboksylater og Zn-karboksylater er det også mulig å anvende addukter av disse med MO eller M(OH)2 (M = Ca, Mg, Sr eller Zn), såkalte "overbaserte" forbindelser. I tillegg til stabilisatorene ifølge oppfinnelsen er det foretrukket å anvende alkalimetallkarboksylater, jordalkalimetallkarboksylater og/eller aluminiumkarboksylater.
Smøremidler
Eksempler på mulige smøremidler er: fettsyrer, fettalkoholer, montanvoks, fettsyreestere, PE-vokser, amidvokser, klorparafiner, glyserolestere og jordalkalimetallsåper og fettketoner og også smøremidler eller kombinasjoner av smøremidlene, listet i EP 0 259 783. Stearinsyre, stearinsyreestere og kalsiumstearat er foretrukket.
Mykgj ørere
Eksempler på organiske mykgjørere er de fra følgende grupper og blandinger derav: A) Ftalater: slik som de di-2-etylheksyl, diisononyl og diisodecylftalat, også kjent ved de vanlige forkortelsene DOP (dioktylftalat, di-2-etylheksylftalat), DINP (diiso-nonylftalat), DIDP (diisodecylftalat), di(<n>CcrCi2)ftalater, for eksempel [sic]-estere av alifatiske dikarboksylsyrer, særlig estere av adipin, azelain eller sebacinsyre: foretrukket di-2-etylheksyladipat og diisooktyladipat. C) Trimellitinsyreestere: slik som tri-2-etylheksyltrimellitat, triisodecyltrimellitat (blanding), triisotridecyltrimellitat, triisooktyltrimellitat (blanding), og også tri-Ce-Cg-alkyl, tri-C6-Cio-alkyl, tri-C7-C9-alkyl og tri-C9-Cn-alkyltrimellitat. Vanlige forkortelser er TOTM (trioktyltirmellitat, tri-2-etylheksyltrimellitat), TIDTM (triisodecyltrimellitat) og TITDTM (triisotridecyltrimellitat). D) Epoksymykgjørere: disse er primært epoksiderte, umettede fettsyrer, for eksempel epoksidert soyabønneolje (som beskrevet under epoksiderte fettsyreestere). E) Polymere mykgjørere: de vanligste utgangsmaterialene for fremstilling av polyestermykgjørere er: dikarboksylsyrer, slik som adipinsyre, ftalsyre, azelansyre eller sebacinsyre; dioler, slik som 1,2-propandiol, 1,3-butandiol, 1,4-butandiol, 1,6-heksandiol, neopentylglykol og dietylenglykol. F) Fosforsyreestere: en definisjon av disse esterne er gitt i ovenfor nevnte "Taschenbuch der Kunststoffadditive" ["Plastics Additives Handbook"], kapittel 5.9.5, s. 408-412. Eksempler på disse fosforsyreesterne er tributylfosfat, tri-2-etylbutylfosfat, tri-2-etylheksylfosfat, trikloretylfosfat, 2-etylheksyldifenylfosfat, kresyldifenylfosfat, trifenylfosfat, trikresylfosfat og triksylenylfosfat.
G) Klorerte hydrokarboner (parafiner)

I) Monoestere, for eksempel butyloleat, fenoksyetyloleat, tetrahydrofurfuryloleat og alkylsulfonater.
J) Glykolestere, for eksempel diglykolbenzoater.
K) Sitronsyreestere

Det er også mulig å anvende blandinger av de forskjellige mykgjørerne.
Mykgjørerne kan anvendes i mengder på for eksempel 5 til 20 vektdeler, særlig 10 til 20 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC. Fast eller delvis fast PVC innbefatter foretrukket opp til 10 %, foretrukket opp til 5 %, mykgjører eller ingen mykgjører.
Pigmenter
Egnede substanser er kjente for fagmannen. Eksempler på uorganiske pigmenter er TiC«2, pigmenter basert på zirkoniumoksid, BaSC«4, sinkoksid (sink hvitt) og litoponer (sinksulfid/bariumsulfat), karbon svart, karbon svart-titaniumdioksidblandinger, jern-oksidpigmenter, Sb203, (Ti, Ba, Sb) O2, Cr203, spineler, slik som kobolt blå og kobolt grønn, Cd (S, Se), ultramarineblå. Eksempler på organiske pigmenter er azopigmenter, ftalocyaninpigmenter, kinakridonpigmenter, perylenpigmenter, diketopyrrolopyrrol-pigmenter og antrakinonpigmenter. TiC«2 i mikronisert form er også foretrukket. Blandinger av forskjellige pigmenter kan også anvendes. En definisjon og ytterligere beskriv-else finnes i "Handbook of PVC Formulating", E. J. Fosfitter (triestere av fosforsyre)
Organiske fosfitter er kjente kostabilisatorer for klorinneholdende polymerer. Eksempler på disse er trioktyl, tridecyl, tridodecyl, tritridecyl, tripentadecyl, trioleyl, tristearyl, trifenyl, trikresyl, tris(nonylfenyl), tris(2,4-tert-butylfenyl) og trisykloheksyl-fosfitt. Andre egnede fosfitter er forskjellige blandede aryldialkyl eller alkyldiaryl-fosfitter, slik som fenyldioktyl, fenyldidecyl, fenyldidodecyl, fenylditridecyl, fenylditetradecyl, fenyldipentadecyl, oktyldifenyl, decyldifenyl, undecyldifenyl, dodecyldifenyl, tridecyldifenyl, tetradecyldifenyl, pentadecyldifenyl, oleyldifenyl, stearyldifenyl og dodecyl-bis(2,4-di-tert-butylfenyl)fosfitt.
Fordelaktig kan fosfitter av forskjellige di- eller polyoler anvendes: for eksempel tetra-fenyldipropylenglykoldifosfitt, polydipropylenglykolfenylfosfitt, tetrametylolsyklo-heksanoldecyldifosfitt, tetrametylolsykloheksanolbutoksyetoksyetyldifosfitt, tetra-metylolsykloheksanolnonylfenyldifosfitt, bis(nonylfenyl)-di(trimetylolpropan)difosfitt, bis(2-butoksyetyl)-di(tirmetylolpropan)difosfitt, tris(hydroksyetyl)isocyanuratheksa-decyltrifosfitt, didecylpentaerytrityldifosfitt, distearylpentaerytrityldifosfitt, bis(2,4-di-tert-butylfenyl)pentaerytrityldifosfitt, og også blandinger av disse fosfittene og aryl/- alkylfosfittblandinger av empirisk sammensetning (H19C9-C6H4O) 1,5? (OCi^n^s^) 1,5 eller [C8H17-C6H4-0-] 2P [i-C8H170], (H19C9-C6H40) 1;5P (OC^nH^) 1,5.
Industrielle eksempler er Naugard P, Mark CH 300, Mark CH 301, Mark CH 302, Mark CH 304 og Mark CH 55. Eksempler på totalmengder av de organiske fosfittene som anvendes, eller blandinger derav, er fra 0,01 til 10 vektdeler, fordelaktig fra 0,05 til 5, og spesielt fra 0,1 til 3 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
Epoksiderte fettsyreestere og andre epoksyforbindelser
Stabilisatorsammensetningene ifølge oppfinnelsen kan i tillegg og foretrukket innbefatte minst én epoksidert fettsyreester. Mulige forbindelser her er særlig estere fra fettsyrer fra naturlige kilder (fettsyreglyserider), slik som soyaolje eller rapsolje. Imidlertid er det også mulig å anvende syntetiske produkter, slik som epoksidert butyloleat. Epoksidert polybutadien og polyisopren kan også anvendes hvis ønskelig også i delvis hydroksylert form, eller glysidylakrylat og glysidylmetakrylat som homo- eller kopolymer. Disse epoksyforbindelser kan også anvendes på en aluminosaltforbindelse; i denne forbindelse se også DE-A-4 031 818. Eksempler på totalmengder av epoksyforbindelsene anvendt er foretrukket minst 0,1 vektdeler, for eksempel fra 0,1 til 50 vektdeler, fordelaktig fra 1 til 30 og spesielt fra 1 til 25 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
Antioksidanter
Alkylerte monofenoler, for eksempel 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-metylfenol, alkyltiometyl-fenoler, for eksempel 2,4-dioktyltiometyl-6-tert-butylfenol, alkylerte hydrokinoner, for eksempel 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-metoksyfenol, hydroksylerte tiodifenyletere, for eksempel 2,2'-tiobis(6-tert-butyl-4-metylfenol), alkylidenbisfenoler, for eksempel 2,2'-metylen-bis(6-tert-butyl-4-metylfenol), benzylforbindelser, for eksempel 3,5,3',5'-tetratert-butyl-4,4'-dihydroksydibenzyleter, hydroksybenzylerte malonater, for eksempel dioktadecyl-2,2-bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroksybenzyl)malonat, hydroksybenzylaromatiske forbindelser, for eksempel l,3,5-tris(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroksybenzyl)-2,4,6-trimetyl-benzen, triazinforbindelser, for eksempel 2,4-bisoktylmerkapto-6-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroksyanilino)-l,3,5-triazin, fosfonater og fosfonitter, for eksempel dimetyl-2,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroksybenzylfosfonat, acylaminofenoler, for eksempel 4-hydroksy-lauranilid, estere av beta-(3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroksyfenyl)propionsyre, beta-(5-tert-butyl-4-hydroksy-3-metylfenyl)propionsyre, beta-(3,5-disykloheksyl-4-hydroksyfenyl)-propionsyre, estere av 3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroksyfenyleddiksyre med mono- eller polyhydroksyalkoholer, amider av beta-(3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroksyfenyl)propionsyre, slik som for eksempel N,N'-bis(3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroksyfenylpropionyl)heksa-metylendiamin, vitamin E (tokoferol) og derivater. Blandinger av antioksidantene kan også anvendes.
Industrielle eksempler er Naugard 10, Naugard 76, Naugard BHT og Naugard 45.
Eksempler på mengde antioksidanter anvendt er fra 0,01 til 10 vektdeler, fordelaktig fra 0. 1 til 10 vektdeler og spesielt fra 0,1 til 5 vektdeler, basert på 100 vektdeler PVC.
UV-absorbenter og lysstabilisatorer
Eksempler på disse er: 2-(2'-hydroksyfenyl)benzotriazoler, slik som 2-(2'-hydroksy-5'-metylfenyl)benzotriazol, 2-hydroksybenzofenoner, estere av usubstituerte eller sub-stituerte benzosyrer, slik som 4-tert-butylfenylsalisylat, fenylsalisylat, akrylater, nikkel-forbindelser, oksalamider, slik som 4,4'-dioktyloksyoksanilid, 2,2'-dioktyloksy-5,5'-ditert-butyloksanilid, 2-(2-hydroksyfenyl)-l,3,5-triaziner, slik som 2,4,6-tris(2-hydroksy-4-oktyloksyfenyl)-1,3,5-triazin, 2-(2-hydroksy-4-oktyloksyfenyl)-4,6-bis(2,4-dimetylfenyl)-l,3,5-triazin, sterisk hindrede aminer, slik som bis(2,2,6,6-tetrametyl-piperidin-4-yl)sebakat, bis(2,2,6,6-tetrametylpiperidin-4-yl)suksinat. Blandinger av UV-absorbentene og/eller lysstabilisatorene kan også anvendes.
Blåsemidler
Eksempler på blåsemidler er organiske azoforbindelser og organiske hydrazoforbind-elser, tetrazoler, oksaziner, isatonsyreanhydrid, og også soda og natriumbikarbonat. Foretrukket er azodikarbonamid og natriumbikarbonat og også blandinger av disse.

Koadditivene slik som glysidylforbindelser, fosfitter, hydrotalkitter, zeolitter og alkalimetall og jordalkalimetallforbindelser og epoksiderte fettsyreestere anvendes fra 0,01 til 15 vektdeler, foretrukket fra 0,1 til 10 vektdeler, særlig fra 2 til 3 vektdeler.
Eksempler på klorinneholdende polymerer som kan stabiliseres, er:
polymerer av vinylklorid, av vinylidenklorid, vinylharpikser hvis struktur inneholder vinylkloirdenheter, slik som kopolymerer av vinylklorid og vinylestere av alifatiske syrer, særlig vinylacetat, kopolymerer av vinylklorid med estere av akryl- eller metakrylsyre og med akrylonitril, kopolymerer av vinylklorid med dienforbindelser og med umettede dikarboksylsyrer eller anhydrider av disse, slik som kopolymerer av vinylklorid med dietylmaleat, dietylfumarat eller maleinsyreanhydrid, postklorerte polymerer og kopolymerer av vinylklorid, kopolymerer av vinylklorid og vinylidenklorid med umettede aldehyder, ketoner og andre, slik som akrolein, krotonaldehyd, vinylmetylketon, vinylmetyleter, vinylisobutyleter og lignende; polymerer av vinylidenklorid og kopolymerer av samme med vinylklorid og med andre polymeriserbare forbindelser; polymerer av vinylkloracetat og av diklordivinyleter; klorerte polymerer av vinylacetat, klorerte, polymeriske estere av akrylsyre og av alfa-substituert akrylsyre; polymerer av klorerte styrener, slik som diklorstyren; klorerte gummiforbindelser; klorerte polymerer av etylen; polymerer og postklorerte polymerer av klorbutadien og kopolymerer av disse med vinylklorid, klorerte naturlige eller syntetiske gummiforbindelser, og også blandinger av polymerene nevnt med seg selv eller med andre polymeriserbare forbindelser. For formålet ifølge oppfinnelsen inkluderer PVC kopolymerer med polymeriserbare forbindelser, slik som akrylonitril, vinylacetat eller ABS, hvor disse kan være suspensjonspolymerer, bulkpolymerer eller andre emulsjons-polymerer. Foretrukket er en PVC-homopolymer, også i kombinasjon med poly-akry later.
Andre mulige polymerer er graftpolymerer av PVC med EVA, ABS eller MBS. Andre foretrukne substrater er blandinger av de ovenfor nevnte homo- og kopolymerene, særlig vinylkloridhomopolymerer, med andre termoplastiske og/eller elastomere polymerer, særlig blandinger med ABS, MBS, NBR, SAN, EVA, CPE, MBAS, PMA, PMMA, EPDM eller med polylaktoner, særlig fra gruppen bestående av ABS, NBR, NAR, SAN og EVA. Forkortelsene som anvendes for kopolymerene er kjente for fagmannen og har følgende betydninger: ABS: akrylonitril-butadien-styren; SAN: styren-akrylonitril; NBR: akrylonitril-butadien; NAR: akrylonitril-akrylat; EVA: etylen-vinylacetat. Andre mulige polymerer er spesielt styren-akrylonitrilkopolymerer basert på akrylat (ASA). En foretrukket komponent i denne sammenheng er en polymer-sammensetning som innbefatter, som komponenter (i) og (ii), en blanding av 25-75 vekt% PVC og 75-25 vekt% av kopolymerene nevnt. Komponentene av særlig viktighet er sammensetninger fremstilt fra (i) 100 vektdeler PVC og (ii) 0-300 vektdeler ABS og/eller SAN-modifisert ABS og 0-80 vektdeler av kopolymerene NBR, NAR og/eller EVA, men spesielt EVA.
For formålet med foreliggende oppfinnelse er det også mulige å stabilisere spesielt resirkulerte materialer av klorinneholdende polymerer, særlig polymerer beskrevet mer i detalj ovenfor, som har blitt nedbrutt ved prosessering, anvendelse eller lagring. Resirkulert materiale fra PVC er særlig foretrukket.
Forbindelsene som kan anvendes samtidig ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse og også de klorinneholdende polymerer, er kjente for fagmannen som beskrevet i detalj i "Kunststoffadditive" ["Plastics Additives"], R. Gåchter/H. Muller, Carl Hanser Verlag, 3. og 4. utg., 1989 og 2001; i DE 197 41 778 og i 5 EP-A 99 105 418,0 av 17.03.1999, som er innbefattet heri med referanse.
Stabilisatoren ifølge oppfinnelsen er særlig foretrukket for faste PVC-formuleringer for transparente og ikke-transparente applikasjoner, som er vanlig i rør, profiler og ark. For transparente applikasjoner kan det anvendes forbindelser med formel (I) som har et smeltepunkt under ca. 190 °C. Stabilisatoren er også anvendelig for delvis faste og fleksible formuleringer og også i plastisoler. Stabilisatoren krever ikke tungmetallforbindelser (Sn-stabilisatorer, Pb-stabilisatorer, Kd-stabilisatorer, Zn-stabilisatorer) og er særlig godt egnet for fremstilling av fysiologisk akseptable forbrukerprodukter fra PVC, som inkluderer produkter for medisinsk anvendelse.
Stabilisatorsystemene kan fordelaktig inkorporeres ved følgende fremgangsmåter: som emulsjon eller dispersjon; som en tørr blanding i løpet av sammenblanding av tilsatte komponenter eller polymerblandinger; ved direkte tilsetting til prosessapparaturen (for eksempel kalender, blander, knaer, ekstruder eller lignende) eller som en løsning eller smelte eller respektivt som flak eller pellett i støvfri form som én-pakning.
PVC stabilisert ifølge oppfinnelsen, som også er tileiebrakt ved oppfinnelsen, kan fremstilles på en i og for seg kjent måte, ved anvendelse av utstyr i og for seg kjent, slik som den ovenfor nevnte prosessapparaturen, for å blande stabilisatorsystemet ifølge oppfinnelsen og, hvis ønskelig, andre additiver med PVC. Stabilisatorene her kan tilsettes individuelt eller i en blanding, eller ellers i form av hva som er kjent som masterbatcher. PVC stabilisert ifølge oppfinnelsen kan bringes i ønsket form på en i og for seg kjent måte. Eksempler på fremgangsmåter av denne typen er maling, kalender-ing, ekstrudering, injeksjonsstøping og spinning og også ekstrusjonsblåsestøping. Den stabiliserte PVC kan også behandles for å gi skum.
En PVC stabilisert ifølge oppfinnelsen er særlig egnet for eksempel for huleartikler (bøtter), innpakningsfilm (termoformet film), blåste filmer, rør, skum, tunge profiler (vindusrammer), translusente veggprofiler, konstruksjonsprofiler, paneler, innredninger, kontorbelegg og apparatur i hjemmet (computere, husholdningsutstyr). Foretrukket er faste PVC-skumformer og PVC-rør, for eksempel for drikkevann eller avfallsvann, trykkrør, gassrør, kabel-duktrør og kabelbeskyttende rør, industrielle rør, avløpsrør, utstrømsrør, kloakkrør og dreneringsrør. For flere detaljer i denne forbindelse se "Kunststoffhandbuch PVC" ["Plastics Handbook PVC"], Vol. 2/2, W. Becker/H. Braun, 2. utg., 1985, Carl Hanser Verlag, s. 1236-1277.
Eksemplene nedenfor illustrerer oppfinnelsen, men begrenser den ikke. Som i resten av beskrivelsen er prosentandeler som er gitt, basert på vekt.
Eksempel 1
Dehydrokloreringstest på behandlet PVC-pulver
Blandingene fremstilt fra PVC + additiver i henhold til tabell 1A-5A og tabell 7 nedenfor, ble dannet til pasta eller løst opp ved anvendelse av 150 ml metanol. Blandingen ble deretter konsentrert til tørrhet på en rotasjonsfordamper ved redusert trykk (< 50 mbar) ved en badtemperatur på 40-45 °C.
PVC-pulveret behandlet i henhold til spesifikasjonen, ble deretter gjort til gjenstand for en dehydrokloreringstest (DHC) ved T = 180 °C i henhold til DIN 53381. Den termiske stabilitetstesten for PVC er basert på eliminering av gassformig hydrogenklorid ved eksponering for varme. I denne standarden er den termiske stabiliteten til PVC tiden som det tar for å eliminere hydrogenklorid som forårsaker en irreversibel kjemisk forandring etter varmeeksponering. Dess høyere DHC-verdi som finnes (200 uS/cm) i min, dess mer effektiv er stabilisatorsystemet til å inhibere nedbryting av den klorinneholdende polymeren.
Resultatene er blitt inkorporert i tabellene 1A-5A og tabell 7.
Eksempel 2
Dehydrokloreringstest av valsede ark
En forhåndsblanding fremstilt av PVC + additiver i henhold til mengdene gitt i tabell 1B-5B ble valset i 5 minutter ved 180 °C på blandede ruller. Teststrips av film, tykkelse 0,5 mm, ble tatt fra det resulterende, valsede arket og gjort til gjenstand for en dehydrokloreringstest (DHC) ved T = 180 °C i henhold til DIN 53381 (jfr. i denne forbindelse eksempel 1).
Resultatene er blitt inkorporert i tabellene 1B-5B.
Det fremgår at anvendelsen av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) 2-fenylindol fører til vesentlig bedre stabilisering enn anvendelsen av 2-fenylindol alene. Det fremgår også at stabiliteten ytterligere kan økes ved tilsetting av én eller flere additiver. Det fremgår at anvendelsen av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) l,4-butandiol-bis((5-aminokrotonat) fører til vesentlig bedre stabilisering enn anvendelsen av 1,4-butandiol-bis(p-aminokrotonat) alene. Det fremgår også at stabiliteten kan ytterligere økes ved tilsetting av ett eller flere additiver. Det fremgår at anvendelse av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) tio(dietylenglykol)-bis(p-aminokrotonat) fører til vesentlig bedre stabilisering enn anvendelsen av tio-(dietylenglykol)-bis(p-aminokrotonat) alene. Det fremgår også at stabiliteten kan ytterligere forbedres ved tilsetting av ett eller flere additiver. Det fremgår at anvendelse av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) N,N'-difenyltiourea fører til vesentlig bedre stabilisering enn anvendelsen av N,N'-difenyltiourea alene. Helt klart viser sammenligningen med resultatene i tabell 6 at tilsetting av N,N'-difenyltio-urea for seg selv fører til destabilisering av PVC-en. Bare når a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) N,N'-difenyltiourea anvendes sammen, er det en markert forbedring i stabiliteten for PVC. Det fremgår også at stabiliteten kan ytterligere økes ved tilsetting av ett eller flere additiver. Det fremgår at anvendelse av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse og b) N-fenylurea fører til vesentlig bedre stabilisering enn anvendelsen av N-fenylurea alene. Det fremgår også at stabiliteten kan ytterligere forbedres ved tilsetting av ett eller flere additiver.
En blanding av
ble fremstilt ved 180 °C på blandevalser i 5 min. De resulterende, valsede arkene ble anvendt for å bestemme den initiale fargen til de valsede arkene i form av gulhetsindeks
(Yl) i henhold til ASTM D-1925-70. Lav Yl-verdi betyr god stabilisering og, respektivt, initial farge.
Resultatene er gitt i tabell 6 nedenfor.
Det fremgår at tilsetting av fosfitter gir en ytterligere heving i initial, fargebasert stabilisering av den klorinneholdende polymeren ved anvendelse av organiske stabilisatorer i kombinasjon med en natriumperkloratformulering.
Det fremgår at anvendelse av a) natriumperkloratforbindelse alene fører kun til svært små forbedringer i stabilitet sammenlignet med stabilitet uten tilsetting av noen stabilisator.
Claims (10)
1.
Stabilisatorsystem for å stabilisere halogeninneholdende polymerer, karakterisert ved at det innbefatter minst a) ett perkloratsalt og b) minst ett eller flere enaminer,
hvor enaminene har formelen (I)
hvor
n = 1 eller 2 og X = O eller NR<1>,
n = 3-6 og X = O;
R<1> = H, Ci-C4-alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C6-Ci0-aryl, C7-Ci8-alkaryl eller
C7-Ci<g->aralkyl;
R<2> (for n = 1) = Ci-C22-alkyl, C2-C22-alkenyl eller aryl, foretrukket fenyl, hvis
hensiktsmessig substituert med opp til 3 hydroksyl, Ci-C4-alkoksy eller Ci-Cg-alkyl; eller
R<2> (for n = 2-6) = linear eller forgrenet Ci-22-alkylen, hvis hensiktsmessig avbrutt
av ett eller flere O-atomer eller S-atomer, hvor R<2> (for n = 3) også kan være C2-C3-alkyltrisubstituert isocyanurat; og hvis X = NH kan R2 også være H.

Stabilisatorsystem ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at perkloratsaltet er en forbindelse med formel M(C104)n, hvor M er Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Al, La eller Ce; og n er 1, 2 eller 3, avhengig av valensen til M.

Stabilisatorsystem ifølge krav 1 eller 2, karakterisert ved at i forbindelsen som har generell formel (I) er R<1> = metyl eller fenyl og X = oksygen.

Stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 3, karakterisert ved at i perkloratsaltet er M = Na eller K og n = 1.
5.
Stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 4, karakterisert ved at forbindelsene med generell formel (I) er 1,4-butandiol-bis-(P-aminokrotonat) eller tio(dietylenglykol)bis((5-aminokrotonat).

Stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 5, karakterisert ved at det, hvis hensiktsmessig, innbefatter metallsåper og/eller, hvis hensiktsmessig, innbefatter minst én eller flere andre substanser fra gruppen som består av polyoler og disakkaridalkoholer, glysidylforbindelser, hydrotalkitter, alkalimetall/jordalkalimetall-aluminosilikater, alkalimetall/jordalkalimetall-hydroksider, jordalkalimetalloksider eller jordalkalimetall(hydrogen)karbonater, eller metallkarboksylater, fosfitter, mykgjørere, antioksidanter, fyllstoffer, pigmenter, lysstabilisatorer, smøremidler og epoksiderte fettestere.

Sammensetning, karakterisert ved at den innbefatter en klorinneholdende polymer og et stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 6.
8.
Sammensetning ifølge krav 7, karakterisert ved at, basert på 100 vektdeler klorinneholdende polymer, er det fra 0,01 til 10 vektdeler av forbindelser med generell formel (I) og 0,001 til 5 vektdeler av perkloratsaltet.
9.
Fremgangsmåte for å stabilisere klorinneholdende polymerer, karakterisert ved at den innbefatter tilsetting av et stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 7 [sic] til den klorinneholdende polymeren.
10.
Forbrukerprodukt, karakterisert ved at den innbefatter PVC som er blitt stabilisert med et stabilisatorsystem ifølge et hvilket som helst av kravene 1 til 7 [sic].
