Abstract

The terminal block for insulated conductors consists of a housing with a number of parallel guide channels each with a contact element. Each contact element has a cutout with cutting edges for penetrating the insulation of the conductor. The rear end (8) of the contact element (9) is in the shape of a bush with an opening (10) for the conductor. Each contact element has a spring loaded strip with the cutting edges nearest to the back. The length of the contact element is such that in its final position it will be located completely in the guide channel. It has a locking element which holds it in the intermediate position keeping the opening aligned to the opening of the housing. The cross section of the front end of the contact element is U-shaped.
