Abstract

The connector is intended to provide automatic cutting to length of a conductor and to make contact through the insulating sheath. Each connecting point consists of a basic flat split blade (6), the split opening out at its upper surface (17), (8) such that an insulated wire (18) can be guided in. The edges of the split (9) are normally closed together, opening out and cutting into the insulato when the cable is forced into the opened out section. A chisel type blade (30) may be fitted to cut away any excess cable. The terminals may be single or double ended and are built into a flat mountable block. The blade (6) is joined to two cylindrical spring hinge parts.
