Abstract

1500918 Electrical couplings E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 8 May 1975 [10 May 1974] 19484/75 Heading H2E As an insulated wire w is pushed into an aperture formed in a terminal by a member 104 projecting from the cover 18 of the connector, the insulation I is pierced by "V" shaped skiving elements at either end of the aperture and contact is made between the wire and the terminal by downturned contact lips 38. The connector may be used as a cable connector, Fig. 7, an edge connector (Fig. 8, not shown) or a surface connector (Fig. 9, not shown). The terminal may be made from a single sheet of conductive material.
