Abstract

Un proceso para generar plantas transgenicas o celulas de planta transformadas en su plastoma y que estan desprovistos de un marcador de seleccion, que comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) transformar las plastidas de una planta o celula de planta con un ADN que comprende: (i) una secuencia de nucleotidos que confiere replicacion del ADN en una celula de planta, (ii) al menos una secuencia de interes (iii) secuencias que flanquean al menos una secuencia de interes necesaria la integracion estable de al menos una secuencia de interes en el genoma de la plastida, y (iv) un marcador de seleccion fuera de las secuencias que flanquean la (s) secuencia (s) de interes; (b) permitir la integracion de al menos una secuencia de interes en el plastoma en la presencia de presion selectiva; (6) permitir la perdida de la secuencia del marcador de seleccion al liberar la presion selectiva; y (d) recuperar las celulas y/o plantas que esten geneticamente transformadas en sus plastomas y que esten desprovistas del marcador de seleccion.
