Abstract
Se describe una aleacion de aluminio resistente a la corrosion que tiene cantidades controladas de hierro, manganeso, cromo y titanio junto con niveles de cobre, silicio, niquel y no mas que niveles de impurezas de zinc. La quimica de la aleacion es ajustada de tal manera que el potencial electrolitico de las fronteras de grano coincide con el material de matriz de la aleacion para reducir la corrosion intergranular. La aleacion es particularmente apropiada para la manufactura de tuberia para intercambiadores de calor utilizando tecnicas de extrusion y soldadura.
