Abstract
La invencion describe un metodo para la produccion selectiva de acido acetico, a partir de una alimentacion en fase gas de etano, etileno, o mezclas de los mismos y oxigeno a temperaturas elevadas. La alimentacion en fase gas se pone en contacto con un catalizador, que contiene los elementos Mo, Pd, X y Y en proporciones gramo-atomo a:b:c:d, en combinacion con oxigeno de acuerdo a la formula (I): Moa,PdbXcYd; los simbolos X y Y tienen el siguiente significadoi: X es uno o mas elementos seleccionados del grupo que consiste de Cr, Mn, Nb, Ta, Ti, V, Te y W; Y es uno o mas elementos seleccionados del grupo que consiste de B, Al, Ga, In, Pt, Zn, Cd, Bi, Ce, Col Rh, Ir, Cu, Ag, Fe, Ru, Os, K, Rb, Cs, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Nb, Zr, Hf, Ni, P, Sb, Si, Sn, TL y U; los indices a, b, c, d y x son las proporciones gramo-atomo de los elementos correspondientes, donde a = 1; b = de 0.0001 a 0.01; c = de 0.4 a 1; y d = 0.005 a 1; El rendimiento horario en kg por volumen de catalizador en la oxidacion a acido acetico es 470 kg/(hm3), la selectividad de la reaccion selectividad de etano y/o etileno para proporcionar acido acetico es, en particular > 70 % en mol, X preferiblemente es Nb y una sal amonio de niobio se usa como una fuente de niobio.
