Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO SELETIVA DE áCIDO ACéTICO MEDIANTE A OXIDAçãO CATALìTICA DE ETANO E/OU ETILENO". A invenção refere-se a um método para a produção seletiva de ácido acético a partir de uma alimentação de fase gasosa de etano, etileno ou misturas destes e oxigênio em temperaturas elevadas. A alimentação de fase gasosa é colocada em contato com um catalisador contendo os elementos Mo, Pd, X e Y nas relações átomo-grama a:b:c:d em combinação com oxigênio de acordo com a fórmula (I): Mo~ a~Pd~ b~X~ c~Y~ d~. Os símbolos X e Y possuem os seguintes significados: X = um ou vários elementos selecionados do grupo Cr, Mn, Nb, Ta, Ti, V, Te e W; Y = um ou vários elementos selecionados do grupo B, AI, Ga, In, Pt, Zn, Cd, Bi, Ce, Co, Rh, Ir, Cu, Ag, Au, Fe, Ru, Os, K, Rb, Cs, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Nb, Zr, Hf, Ni, P, Pb, Sb, Si, Sn, Ti e U; os índices a, b, c, d e x = a relação átomo-grama para os elementos correspondentes, onde: a = 1; b = 0,0001 a 0,01; c = 0,4 a 1; e d = 0,005 a 1. O rendimento espaço-tempo para a oxidação acima para produzir ácido acético é 470 kg/(hm^ 3^). A seletividade da reação oxidativa de etano e/ou etileno para dar ácido acético é, em particular, <242> 70 % em mol. X = preferivelmente Nb e um sal de amónio de nióbio é usado como fonte de nióbio.
