Abstract

Un metodo hibrido de retransmision de ARQ en un sistema de comunicacion, en que se retransmiten paquetes de datos que se codifican con un procedimiento de correccion progresiva de errores (FEC) antes de la transmision, con base a una solicitud de repeticion automatica y se combina transitoriamente con posterioridad con paquetes de datos erroneos recibidos previamente ya sea sobre una base de simbolo por simbolo o de bit por bit; se modulan los simbolos de dichos paquetes de datos erroneos empleando una primera constelacion de senales predeterminada; se modulan los simbolos de los paquetes de datos retransmitidos empleando por lo menos una segunda constelacion de senales predeterminada; cada bit de simbolo tiene una confiabilidad media de bits definida por las confiabilidades individuales de bits a traves de todos los simbolos de la constelacion de senales predeterminada; de acuerdo con la invencion, se selecciona la primera constelacion de senales predeterminada y por lo menos la segunda de tal manera que se promedien las confiabilidades medias combinadas de bits para todos respectivos bits de todas las transmisiones.
