Abstract
El objetivo de la presente invencion es proporcionar un artículo de fabricacion que incluye un substrato que tiene una película repelente al agua sobre el mismo de mejor durabilidad y proporcionar un método para formar dicha película repelente al agua sobre un substrato. El artículo de fabricacion es construido activando el substrato con una solucion ácida y aplicando después una composicion repelente al agua sobre el substrato, que formará la película repelente al agua. El efecto notable de la activacion ácida es aumentar de forma substancial la durabilidad de la repelencia al agua de la película. La solucion ácida preferiblemente incluyeácido clorhídrico, ácido sulfurico o un ácido orgánico. Los substratos pueden incluir, aunque sin limitacion, vidrio, metal, plástico, esmaltes y cerámica. La composicion repelente al agua incluye preferiblemente un perfluoroalquilalquilsilano.
