Abstract

La presente invencion describe una composicion farmacéutica en la forma de una emulsion no irritante la cual incluye al menos una ciclosporina en mezcla o combinacion con un glicérido de ácido graso elevado y polisorbato 80. Más particularmente, la ciclosporina puede ser la ciclosporina A y el glicérido de ácido graso elevado puede ser el aceite de ricino. La composicion se ha encontrado que va a ser de un nivel elevado de confort y de un potencial bajo de irritacion, adecuada para el suministro de medicamentos a las áreas sensibles tales como los tejidos oculares con una absorcion mejorada en la glándula lagrimal. Además, la composicion tiene estabilidad durante hasta nueve meses sin la cristalizacion de la ciclosporina.
