Abstract
Un embrague de fricción (20) que acopla un motor (10) y una transmisión de engranes (30) de un vehículo es controlado por un circuito a base de microprocesador que usa una lógica que define modos de operación de acuerdo con condiciones del motor (10) y del embrague (20). Durante el tiempo de cierre de embrague, cuando el vehículo está iniciando desde el reposo en un modo de arranque o lanzamiento, la señal de control de motor o el estrangulamiento se restringe de responder rápidamente al pedal del acelerador (11). Esto evita exceso de velocidad del motor que resulta de generar alta torsión antes de que se ha logrado suficiente capacidad de embrague. La señal de control es desarrollada como una función de la posición del pedal bajo control de la lógica de estrangulamiento que, a su vez, depende de modos de operación de embrague definidos por la lógica de embrague. Los modos de operación de embrague son cuatro modos para operación automática de embrague que comprenden el modo de acercamiento de punto de toque que prohibe una señal de estrangulamiento durante el movimiento inicial del embrague, el modo de arrastre o modo de arranque después que ocurre el punto de toque (81), y el modo de traba para completar el cierre del embrague cuando se logra bajo patinado del embrague. Un modo no automático es entrado antes de que se oprima el pedal del acelerador (11) o cuando se detectan las condiciones de paro del motor (10).
