Abstract

La presente invención expone un caucho de estireno-butadieno (SBR) que es particularmente valioso par utilizarse en bandas de rodadura para llantas de camión, el caucho está comprendido de unidades de repetición que se derivan de aproximadamente 10 por ciento en peso aproximadamente 20 por ciento en peso de estireno y de aproximadamente 80 por ciento en peso aproximadamente 90 por ciento en peso de 1, 3-butadieno, en donde las unidades de repetición se derivan de estireno y 1,3-butadieno teniendo una distribución de secuencia en donde por lo menos 55 por ciento de las unidades de repetición de estireno están en bloque de solamente una unidad de repetición de estireno; en donde por lo menos aproximadamente 75 por ciento de las unidades de repetición de estireno están en bloques de 1 o 2 unidades de repetición; y en donde por lo menos aproximadamente 5 por ciento de las unidades de repetición de estireno están en bloques de más de 8 unidades de repetición, en donde aproximadamente 32 por ciento a 40 por ciento de las unidades de repetición derivadas del 1,3-butadieno son de microestructura cis, en donde aproximadamente 50 por ciento a 60 por ciento de las unidades de repetición se derivan de 1,3-butadieno y tienen la micro estructura trans, en donde de aproximadamente 6 por ciento a 15 por ciento en peso de las unidades de repetición se derivan de 1,3-butadieno y son de microestructura de vinilo, en donde él caucho tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea que está dentro del intervalo de aproximadamente -85ºC a aproximadamente -70ºC, en donde el caucho tiene un peso molecular promedio en número que está dentro del intervalo de aproximadamente 150,000 a aproximadamente 400,000, en donde el caucho tiene un peso molecular promedio en peso de aproximadamente 300,000 a aproximadamente 800,000 y en donde el caucho tiene una no homogeneidad que está dentro del intervalo de aproximadamente 0.5 a aproximadamente 1.5.
