Abstract

''SBR TRANS DESORDENADA COM BAIXO TEOR DE MICROESTRUTURA DE VINILA''. O processo e o sistema catalisador desta invenção podem ser utilizados para a síntese de uma borracha de estireno-butadieno altamente desordenada, tendo um alto teor de trans, por polimerização em solução. A borracha de estireno-butadieno produzida pelo processo desta invenção pode ser utilizada em borrachas para bandas de rodagem de pneus, que apresentam características de desgaste aperfeiçoadas. Esta invenção revela, mais especificamente, um sistema catalisador para uso em polimerizações tiotérmicas, que consistem, essencialmente, de (a) um composto de organolítio, (b) um alcóxido de bário e (c) um alcóxido de lítio. A presente invenção descreve ainda um processo para a síntese de uma borracha de estireno-butadieno tendo um baixo teor de vinila por um processo, que compreende a copolimerização de estireno e 1,3-butadieno sob condições isotérmicas, em um solvente orgânico na presença de um sistema catalisador que consiste, essencialmente de (a) um composto de organolítio, (b) um alcóxido de bário e (c) um alcóxido de lítio.
