Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato y método para mantener el pH dentro de un intervalo conducente para el crecimiento celular en un sistema de cultivo celular que contiene bicarbonato sin la adición de base. El método depende de las características de transferencia de gas del sistema de bioreactor para modular la transferencia de CO2 a y del cultivo celular, de tal manera que el pH del cultivo celular puede ser mantenido dentro de un intervalo deseado.
