Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método de producción de un hidrogel polimérico que comprende las etapas de: (1) preparar una solución acuosa de un derivado de polisacárido soluble en agua y un ácido policarboxílico; (2) agitar opcionalmente la solución, por ejemplo, por agitación; (3) aislar un material compuesto de derivado de polisacárido/ácido policarboxílico a partir de la solución; y (4) calentar el material compuesto de derivado de polisacárido/ácido policarboxílico a una temperatura de al menos aproximadamente 80 °C, reticulando de ese modo el polisacárido con el ácido policarboxílico. La presente invención también proporciona hidrogeles poliméricos producidos mediante los métodos de la presente invención.
