Abstract
Un proceso para mejorar una corriente de petróleo pesado mediante mezclar por completo la corriente de petróleo pesado con una corriente de agua previo a la introducción de una corriente de oxidante. Una mezcla de la corriente de petróleo pesado y la corriente de agua se somete a condiciones de operación, en la presencia de la corriente de oxidante, que están a o exceden la temperatura y presión super-críticas del agua. La corriente de producto resultante es un petróleo de mayor valor teniendo impurezas bajas en azufre, bajas en nitrógeno, y bajas metálicas según se compara con la corriente de petróleo pesado.
