Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para tratar un material de biomasa caracterizado porque comprende al menos los pasos de: - pretratamiento del material de biomasa que comprende los pasos de: 1) hidrolisis térmica a una temperatura sobre los 140°C, seguida por 2) explosión húmeda que resulta en un producto intermedio que tiene una concentración de materia seca por sobre 25% y una temperatura sobre 90°C,- fermentación subsecuente del producto intermedio en un tanque de digestión, y se caracteriza además porque el producto intermedio se introduce en el tanque de digestión al mezclarlo en parte del contenido del tanque de digestión que se transporta en un bucle de recirculación que emerge del tanque de digestión, en donde el mezclado se realiza antes de la mezcla del producto intermedio y la parte del contenido del tanque de digestión entra al tanque de digestión; y el pH después de la mezcla y antes de que la mezcla entre en el tanque de digestión se encuentra sobre pH6.
