Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona generalmente a composiciones para uso en separaciones biológicas y químicas, así como otras aplicaciones. Más específicamente, la presente invención se relaciona a fieltros híbridos fabricados a partir de nanofibras electrohiladas con alta permeación y alta capacidad. Tales fieltros híbridos utilizan celulosa derivada y por lo menos un polímero no a base de celulosa que puede ser removido del fieltro al someterlo a temperaturas moderadamente elevadas y/o solventes capaces de disolver el polímero no a base de celulosa para dejar detrás un fieltro de nanofibra poroso que tiene tamaños de poro más uniformes y otras propiedades mejoradas cuando se compara con fieltros de nanofibra de un solo componente.
