Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método mejorado para producir una banda y un material laminar de acero de bajo contenido en carbono, reducidos en frío; dicho método comprende las etapas que consisten en: proporcionar una pieza de acero de bajo contenido en carbono, totalmente dexoxidado y desgasificado al vacío; laminar en caliente hasta obtener un espesor intermedio; remover la costra por una laminación en caliente; reducir en frío hasta lograr el espesor final y reconocer; dicho método se caracteriza en que el acero contiene esencialmente, en porcentaje por peso: de 0.02 a 0.10 de carbono; de 0.1 a 0.9 de manganeso; de 0.02 a 0.18 de columbio, fósforo residual, azufre, silicio, oxígeno y nitrógeno; de 0.01 a 0.08 de aluminio, consistiendo el resto esencialmenteEen hierro, salvo por las impurezas incidentales; el columbio se encuentra combinado materialmente por completo; el material laminado en caliente se enfria a una temperatura no mayor de 705ºc.; el material laminado en caliente se reduce en frío hasta tener un espesor final, reduciendo el espesor en una proporción de 40 a 70; y el material reducido en frío se recuece a una temperatura, y durante un tiempo, suficiente para recuperar la ductilidad pero no para recristalizar, obteniéndose así un alargamiento mayor de 10, con un límite aparente de elasticidad de 63 kg mm2 cuando menos; o se recuece a una temperatura y durante un tiempo suficientes para recristalizar, con lo cual se obtiene un alargamiento superior al 25, con un límite aparente de elasticidad de 31.5 kg- mm2 a 42 kg mm2.
