Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a mild cold-rolled steel plate of less surface defects and superior formability by hot rolling a mild steel slab contg. respectively predetermined ratios of Mn, S, O, N and Al at respectively specified hot rolling finish temp. and coiling temp. and further subjecting the same to box annealing after pickling and cold rolling. CONSTITUTION:The mild steel slab limited to 0.01-0.08% Mn, <=0.003% S, <=0.004% O, <=0.006% Ni and 0.015-0.08% Al or further contg. <=0.005% P besides these is prepd. Next, this mild steel slab is rolled at a temp. >=A3 point by ordinary continuous hot rolling equipment and is coiled to a temperature <=650 deg.C, to make a hot-rolled steel plate. Thence, this hot-rolled steel plate undergoes ordinary pickling and cold rolling then recrystallization annealing by box annealing at 570-670 deg.C temp. followed by skin pass rolling, whereby a cold-rolled steel plate is produced. This cold-rolled steel plate has superior deep drawability plus excellent bulging property and shape freezability as it is extremely mild.
