Abstract
Se proporciona un freno y método de ensamble. El freno incluye una placa de fricción configurada para acoplamiento a un cuerpo giratorio para rotación con el cuerpo giratorio alrededor de un eje de rotación, una placa de presión dispuesta alrededor del eje sobre un primer lado de la placa de fricción y fijado contra rotación, y una placa de armadura dispuesta alrededor del eje sobre un segundo lado de la placa de fricción. Se dispone un electroimán alrededor del eje sobre un lado opuesto de la placa de armadura con relación a la placa de fricción. Un resorte desvía la placa de armadura en una primera dirección axial hacia la placa de fricción y lejos del electroimán para acoplarse al freno. El sujetador se adapta a un espacio entre superficies opuestas de la placa de presión y el electroimán y, después de endurecimiento, une la placa de presión al electroimán.
