Abstract
Una estación de carga para cargar la batería de un vehículo que comprende: una porción de base configurada para montaje en una subestructura; una porción de carga que tiene una toma de carga para conexión a un vehículo; y un mecanismo de retracción para mover la porción de carga entre una posición extendida en la cual se extiende fuera de la porción de base y una posición retraída; y un controlador para controlar el mecanismo de retracción; el controlador que está configurado para determinar si ha transcurrido un período predeterminado desde que terminó la carga más reciente desde la toma de carga; y ocasionar que el mecanismo de retracción mueva la porción de carga hacia la posición retraída si se determinó que ha transcurrido el período predeterminado desde el suministro eléctrico más reciente desde la toma.
