Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método de costo reducido para producir un xilooligosacárido acido, el método incluye un paso de despolimerización para despolimerizar una materia prima derivada de plantas y un paso de desacetilación para agregar una base a una solución del producto del paso de despolimerización para alcanzar un pH de 11 o mayor. La presente invención proporciona además un xilooligosacárido acido que tiene un contenido de grupo acetilo de 0 a 5.0% en masa. El xilooligosacárido acido de la presente invención, el cual tiene un contenido de grupo acetilo de 0 a 5.0% en masa, puede ser usado como un material de partida en un método de producción para obtener por lo tanto polisulfato de pentosán con un alto rendimiento.
