Abstract

La presente descripción se relaciona, de acuerdo con algunas modalidades, con métodos y sistemas para purificar productos ricos en proteínas y carbohidratos de especies acuáticas fotosintéticas y composiciones de los mismos. Por ejemplo, una modalidad de la presente descripción se relaciona con métodos y sistemas para purificar proteínas con las que se relaciona la presente descripción, en algunas modalidades para métodos y sistemas para extraer proteínas, biocrudo seco, y harina rica en carbohidratos de Lemna. En algunas modalidades, un método para tratar una biomasa que comprende un microcultivo (por ejemplo, Lemna) para producir un producto que comprende proteína soluble de microcultivo puede comprender: (a) lisar una primera porción de la biomasa para formar una primera porción de biomasa lisada; (b) separar la primera porción de biomasa lisada para generar una primera porción de una fracción de jugo y una primera porción de una fracción sólida; (c) separar la primera porción de la fracción de jugo para generar una primera porción de un primer jugo y una primera porción de una primera torta, en donde el primer jugo comprende una proteína soluble de microcultivo; y/o (d) filtrar la primera porción del primer jugo para generar una primera porción del producto que comprende proteína soluble de microcultivo y una corriente de desecho.
