Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un gen WMS novedoso que confiere androesterilidad a trigo, su promotor de expresión antero-específica y usos de los mismos. En trigo, un gen Ms2 bien conocido causando androesterilidad dominante se ha aplicado extensamente en la selección recurrente en China. La aproximación del ARN-seq se realizó para revelar el transcriptoma antero específico en un par de líneas isogénicas Ms2 'Lumai 15' y 'Lumai 15+Ms2'. Como resultado, se identificó un gen WMS, mostrando expresión antero específica en la primera etapa de la meiosis y solamente en trigo que porta el gen Ms2. La regulación de WMS puede alterar la fertilidad masculina de la planta. El promotor de WMS se encontró que comprende actividad antero específicos. Por consiguiente, la presente invención puede utilizarse para lograr la expresión genética antero específica, para desarrollar la androesterilidad en diversas especies de plantas, para establecer la selección recurrente en varias especies de plantas y para asistir a la producción de semillas híbridas.
